I don't care if you wish to call me an arrogant bitch or something even nastier than this for saying this, but you'll understand if you've seen the movie:  you've simply got to be fluent in English in order to fully capable of appreciating the Simpsons.  Dubbing or even just subtitles won't do it at all.  So much essence is lost through translation that the original joke is either changed or completely sabotaged.

Yeah, you might laugh at Homer's silliness, and Bart's recklessness.  You might think Lisa is so hilariously nerdy, and chuckle when Maggie sucks her pacifier.  Yet you might never understand the difference between the Irish accent and their American accent.  And how does one catch the joke about advertising during movies without the translation through subtitles.  Give it up.  The Simpsons is genuinely made for Americans.  Americans only.

Hey, but once you are capable of enjoying the movie, you'll see that this is yet another one of those movies that is trying to unveil some 'inconvenient truth'.  Perhaps you'll walk out the theater, still laughing your head off about the little scenario as the credits roll.  You'll forget everything that has happened in the movie and continue to live your life as you always have.

Have I read the novels?  No.  Let's just admit here that some books are written to be filmed, and some are written to be read.  That explains why I am fully capable of enjoying the Bonds, the Harry Potters, and now the Bournes.  [Although I often consider the book and the movie to be completely different works of art.]

I enjoyed this one so much, despite its genuine Americanism.  You can thank Matt Damon for this.  He is one of the many talented actors I keep my eyes open for.  He has been on my top-ten list ever since I saw his outstanding performance in Good Will Hunting.  Fortunately for him, he doesn't have that dolly face like his buddy Benny does.  Those pretty faces seem to get people in trouble more than they bring them luck.  Sure, he's good looking.  But would you still say so if he hadn't the talent for acting?  Many would probably think twice before they answer.

The content of the Constant Gardener may be shocking to some, yet there are already many of us that have already been replete in such conspiracy theories.  The 'man' is capable of things beyond your imagination.  Justin [Ralph Fiennes]  is merely the protagonist, but the true hero/heroine is definitely Tessa [Rachel Weisz]  How much courage does it take to conceal a secret so disputable that could jeopardize their lives?  Could you hold on to such a secret on your own?  I know I probably couldn't.  It takes just as much for Justin to remain faithful in her, even after everyone around him had tried to prove to him that she was not worth it.

Father And Mother I Love You。

I wonder if anybody noticed the question mark behind the 'hiking' in the  title.

Dear All,

For someone that doesn't go out much, having to show a friend around Taipie could be aptly described as 'Mission Impossible'.  The only transportation I am familiar with is public transportation systems, and my two legs.  So wherever I take my friend, it must be reachable by either bus, MRT, or our limbs.

Since I've always wanted to come to Wu-lia, I found this to be the perfect opportunity to visit.  Plus, my friend happens to be a nature-lover as well.

Part One

Part Two

Surely the majority of us have either heard or even performed one or two of the miraculous works of the all-time music maestro Ludwig van Beethoven.  At least, those of us living in Taiwan may be lucky enough to hear the famous Fur Elise playing two times a day, while the garbage truck runs around the neighborhood collecting our daily garbage.  If you've seen the trailers for The Fast and the Furious - Tokyo Drift, or Die Hard 4.0, then you may have also recognized the famous motif from his ninth symphony, Ode to Joy.  However, very few of us bother to find out the background story of not just Beethoven, but many other famous musicians and well noted celebrities.  Immortal Beloved, and Copying Beethoven are two movies that are readily available for us lazy-bums who wish to find out a bit more about this particular musician.  However, we must first understand that while knowledge is power, little knowledge can also be deadly.  Fortunately for you, this article sets out to discuss just how much you can rely on these two films, and what are the fabricated details that the movie makers had added in to make the movie more dramatic and luring to its audience.

Both of these movies reveal the story of the legendary maestro, Beethoven.  Both movies have great casting and music.  However, there are so many other factors that make one more worthwhile than the other.
