長久以來，科學與宗教之間的關係總是令人難以拿捏。這兩個領域乍看之下並無任何交集點，但事實上卻是缺一不可，互相無法獨立的領域。科學與宗教同是打造人文基礎的領域。早在科學革命之前，當時被大眾稱為『自然哲學』的那個時期，早就已經是學者視為非常重要的探索領域。知名知識分子，例如法藍西斯．培根，在『新亞藍提斯』一作品中曾以塑造虛構的烏托邦社會試著探索如何結合科學與宗教。非主流的領域中，人們探索著煉金術、魔法、占星術，其實為的都是能夠更了解『上帝之傑作』。但人們誤解的是科學的主旨。他不是一個使人們可以成為，甚至超越，『神』並且掌握宇宙奧妙的領域。他僅不過是一個使得人們更能夠了解上帝的運作方式，而從中更善於利用周遭資源的領域罷了。因此，這兩個領域之間的衝突，並不是在於他們所追求的最終目的，而是在於人們不同的解讀方式。

主角Robert Langdon在『達文西密碼』中早就提出一個論點：耶穌若是真的與平凡人一般，結了婚，也生下了孩子，這代表基督徒應該終止對耶穌基督的信賴嘛？我個人 無法更同意Langdon的論點。即使耶穌基督與平凡人一樣，結婚生子，這不是更顯得他所做出的犧牲更加偉大？同樣的，在『天使與魔鬼』中，作者Dan Brown也試著從看似對立的科學論點去探討宗教信仰的議題。表面上，很容易看出這是一部探討正義以及邪惡的作品。但更深的層面，其實要探討的不只這個， 還有宗教與科學之間的奧妙關係。

羅馬教廷自古以來以傳統以及保守聞名。說難聽一點，就是封閉式思考。我們從教廷如何對待伽利略就可看出他們對於科學性的新發現是多麼的恐懼。隨著時代的改 變，天主教會漸漸的發現這種難題越來越多。但解決的方式不在於是否該選擇保留傳統，或是迎接新像，而是如何從中找到兩者之間的平衡點。宗教信仰的教導，可 以引導科學走向更有道德性的研究，相對的，科學可回歸到最早期的宗旨：使人們更深入的了解『上帝的傑作』。

1950年當 『納尼亞傳奇』第一本被出版的『獅子．女巫．魔衣櫥』問世時，評論家們紛紛議論探討著為何一位像C.S. Lewis這麼有能力的學者與評論家會寫出如此平淡乏味的兒童小說。就連他的好朋友，『魔戒』作者Tolkien也不太能認同Lewis在書中許多部份以 及角色的呈現方式。但Lewis仍然繼續寫出了六本，加起來一共七本的『納尼亞傳奇』至今成為青少年及成人們都喜愛的經典文學。

學者至今 大致都同意『納尼亞』是一本描述基督教的故事以及宗旨。即使是對文學只有淺入研究的讀者應該也輕鬆可以看出書中的獅子，『亞斯藍』，代表的就是耶穌基督。 在『獅子』這集裡，同如耶穌，自我犧牲而死去。但也因為這樣的犧牲而復活。但一直以來，這種基督教的象徵性質是否成為了學者的盲點？

Michael Ward聲稱他找出『納尼亞』更深層的密碼。而這密碼也是Lewis寫『納尼亞』的初衷。他在『納尼亞星球』一書中提出了許多經過細心研究後所整理出來的種種證明。

而 在BBC製作的紀錄片『納尼亞密碼』中，Ward提到七本書代表著其實是七個不同的星球。所以Ward主要的論點是『納尼亞』除了是描寫基督教的一種寓言 故事之外，他同時也是在描述七個星球。當Ward讀到Lewis描寫星球的一首詩中寫到的'winter past, and guilt forgiven' [冬天以過、已被豁免的過失]，他則馬上連想到這是一句描述『獅子』一書的最佳寫照。假使有讀過或是看過電影版的朋友們在此一定也連想起白女巫詛咒下的百 年冬日是如何漸漸的轉為春與夏，而書中犯了過失的主角，又是如何得到其他人的寬恕與原諒。

Ward提 到，Lewis從小就對天體以及宇宙論有興趣。即使童年及青少年時曾是個無神論者，但在經歷過二次世界大戰後開始轉變成一位虔誠的基督教徒。這項新的發 現，不僅與Lewis虔誠的基督教信仰沒有任何的衝突，反而Ward相信這反而增強了Lewis對基督教的信仰。影片最後討論到了科學與宗教[基督教]之 間的複雜關係。許多人與Lewis相同地認為，研究『科學』其實只會增加自己對『神』的信仰，而不是增加自己對『神』的疑惑。

'Who's there?'  This is the first line that is spoken in one of Shakespeare's all-time favourite tragedies - 'Hamlet, Prince of Denmark'.  Identity is one of the most intriguing themes of the play.  Interestingly, the Shakespearean actor, David Tennant, who has played Hamlet a number of times, also stars as the protagonist, the Doctor, in the BBC series, 'Doctor Who'. 

Before arriving in the UK, I had already heard of its popularity.  After arriving here, I've continued to hear people talk about either the series itself or David Tennant.  When I first attempted at watching it, I turned it off after about five minutes.  Then I gave it another chance, and ever since then, I had been hooked on to the series.  Now what is it about the series that is so mesmerizing?

The Doctor has no name.  He is a Time Lord who travels in his spaceship called the Tardis.  In each of the different series, he travels with a different companion, namely Rose Tyler, Martha Jones, and Donna Noble.  The Doctor travels through time and space to resolve different issues that arise throughout the universe.  He saves planets from destruction, including Earth, and he salvages different races in the universe from genocide.

明天終於要去看Quantum of Solace[007]啦！所以浪費了一點時間找了些明年想看的預告片。這裡的學生票其實算起來也還好。新建的購物廣場有間新的電影院。已經去看過Burn After Reading了。覺得效果還不錯。希望想看的電影都能看得到。去年年底貼的預告片我還真的每一部都有看到。希望明年也能一樣順利！

The name Merlin caught my attention while browsing through the list of available shows online on the BBC iPlayer.  After having seen Jerry Bruckheimer's 'King Arthur', the 1981 'Excalibur', caught glimpse of scenes from the 1998 TV film 'Merlin', and the fact that I've actually attempted at reading 'Morte D'Arthur, this puts me in a place where I could not pretend it did not exist.  I had to find out.

Despite the fact that the bond between Merlin and Arthur, and with Lancelot later on, was depicted quite accurately, there was nothing else in this series that even remotely resembles anything you may have heard about in the Arthurian legends.  Uther is still alive.  Arthur is not the lost prince who redeems his throne by pulling a sword out of a stone.  Excalibur is nonexistent.  Morgana seems to be Arthur's love interest.  Guenevere is Morgana's servant girl for crying out loud.  Oh, how the world has gone astray from its path!
