il Giardino Romantico

How long has it been since I was in the wild?
Let me be forever grateful for the loving pair,
That feeds me, grooms me, and entertains me.
I know not whether 'tis a bliss or a curse,
That in the midst of my adolescence,
I was granted a feline friend.
We love like brothers,
Yet we fight like foes.
We dine together,
Though he devours my supper, too.
If felines should recieve birthday gifts,
I'd say he  was it.
I love my little brother,
I love my loving mother.
I love my caring father,
But I love myself the most.
These two happy years,
Are only the beginning of many more to come.
O my human readers,
I feel I must explain,
Before I run out of words,
The reason for this not to rhyme,
And not to be confined in any form,
Is that it better depicts who I am,
As one typical feline
Who knows not the definition of confinement,
But knows better than any of you,
The true meaning of LIVING.
Thus I end my birthday verse,
By wishing myself
MANY, MANY MORE
Happy Cat days to come.
