Summer is not hotpot season. But somehow we both craved a nice pot of veggies and hot soup.  The night before my friend and I had too much fun chatting the night away.  She had come to Taipei to attend an event. When she woke up with a hangover (we both did), she called to let them know that she would not be attending. Only then had she been informed that the event had been postponed.  This saved her from the guilt of skipping the event, and as for me, the guilt of seducing my friend to skip the event.

Anyhow, hotpot restaurants are ubiquitous. Which one should we pick? I suggested to stop midway before reaching our destination for the afternoon - Taipei Main Station, and pick a random one once we got there. My friend, being the friend that she is, happily agreed (as if she had any other alternative...).

Bon appetite!

I must say, it was not, in anyway, a special meal.  But it was sufficient to satisfy our hungry tummies.  The service was extremely strange.  They were friendly enough alright, but they'd ask you a question, then run off (how odd!) Even though they still return, it just seems a bit rude to not wait till their question had been answered before scurrying off. The restaurant is on the second floor of the train station. Walk around, and I'm sure you'll find it eventually.
