【倫敦】Globe Theatre @ il Giardino Romantico

If you are a Shakespeare fanatic, this is another 'sacred' place you simply just can't miss out on. THE GLOBE. Even though it is not the original, it's as close a replica as it gets. The original was destroyed in a fire in 1613. Just by looking at the materials from which the theatre is build, it's not hard to imagine how fast the building would have burnt down. This reconstruction, though not located in the exact location as the original, is just a few hundred metres away from the original site. It was opened in 1997, with a production of Henry V.

如果你是莎士比亞迷，那你真的不能錯過這個"神聖"的地方。莎翁環球劇場！雖然這不是原始的那個環球，不過這已經算是複製到夠擬真的地步了！原本的環球在1613年被大火燒掉了。光從外表看這建築物的材質就不難想像當初大火會有多快就把這地方燒個片甲不留。這個重建的環球雖然也不是在原始的那個地點，不過距離相當近。它是在1997年於『亨利五世』的表演進行開幕儀式～

I was told by the ticketing lady, that we might not be able to take pictures or talk whilst inside the theatre, as there was a rehearsal scheduled. I didn't know whether to be excited or disappointed, as it would be a great experience to actually see a pseudo-performance on stage! But then, I wouldn't be able to take pictures!

買票的時候小姐跟我說，進到劇場內可能無法談話也不可拍照。因為當天有排練。聽到時我還不知道該高興還失望！畢竟，這樣就免費可以看一段戲，不過表示我就不能拍照留念了！

Once we got into the theatre, it turned out there was not rehearsal. I ended up being disappointed about that!

到了劇場內，我反而因為沒人在排演感到有點失望～

That's our guide. I thought he looked like David Tennant, from 'Doctor Who'. I managed to find a chance to ask him 'You probably get this a lot, but you look a lot like David Tennant.' And he told me that he had actually auditioned for his double... but obviously he didn't get the part... Or the conversation wouldn't have taken place.

這就是我們那天的解說員。我覺得他長得很像『超時空博士』裡的David Tennant。後來找到機會我就跟他說『我想應該有很多人跟你說過，你長得很像David Tennant！』結果他跟我說他有去試鏡當他的替身。最後當然是沒被選上，否則這段對話就不會存在了！
