Dian Shui Lou offers Shanghai and Zhejian cuisine. We owe this meal to a visit of a former teaher of ours. My friend who recommended the place was pretty familiar with the menu, so we took no time to fuss over what we wanted. He took care of it all. The only request I had, was that I wanted "drunken chicken". This is a dish where the chicken is soaked in Chinese wine, and eaten cold after it's been prepared. My friend told me that they had another chicken dish that was also quite unique, and asked me if I might consider that. I replied, that although drunken chicken is more ubiquitous, decent drunken chicken is difficult to come across. When I saw the restaurant, and my friend's continuous approval of the restaurant, I knew that they would definitely have decent drunken chicken. 

點水樓是融合上海以及浙江佳餚的餐廳。其實要不是託以前的老師來訪的福,天仙才不會有機會吃到這一餐呢!帶我們來的大哥呢,很了解這裡的菜色,所以點菜我們都不用煩惱。我唯一的要求就是要有醉雞。大哥說他們還有另外一種雞也蠻有特色的,問我不考慮試試看另外一種嗎?因為醉雞哪裡都有。我回他說:我堅持要醉雞。原因是醉雞很容易找沒錯,但好吃的醉雞真的很難找!我一進門看到店內裝潢以及大哥他一在地強調說這裡真的很不錯,我就相信他的醉雞一定很棒!

And I was indeed, correct. It was the best I have had in a very long time! 

果然我沒看走眼。真的是這一陣子以來吃過最好吃的醉雞了!

Although it was just a small mouthful, it was indeed 'sweet'. 

雖然只是這麼一小口,可是果然很糖心~~

I love steamed eggs. But this was definitely something special. The crab, didn't take away my enjoyment of the texture of the steamed egg. Quite on the contrary, the taste was just right. A taste of the sea goes quite well with the what would otherwise be rather bland steamed egg. 

我很愛吃蒸蛋。不過這倒是挺特別的。蟹粉沒有把整個口感蓋過去。相反的,他讓蒸蛋更好吃了!加上這點海味,讓原本應該是比較清淡無味的蒸蛋更有趣了!

Smoked cod 煙燻鹽鱈

It looks like it's supposed to be salmon, but it's actually cod. This was absolutely delightful! The taste of the lightly smoked cod, with a tint of salt and its tender texture makes you want to have one bite after another! 

外表看起來像鮭魚,可是其實他是鱈魚來著!這道菜真的很不錯!煙燻的味道,加上鹽巴的調味,以及他鮮嫩多汁的肉,讓你忍不住想要一口接著一口的一直吃!

 天仙念:一分錢一分貨也適用於食物跟服務。點水樓輕而易舉就可以獲得天仙的五顆星。食物當然是沒話說!但是服務也很好!對我們這桌,其實就是基本的服務。但我看到隔壁桌有個老爺爺跟兩個頂多二十出頭的一對男女用餐,服務員很貼心的幫老爺爺想菜色。這種超出基本服務的態度,即使沒有用在自己身上,知道它們有這樣的潛力,當然也是會加分!
