It's been a month already, since I departed from Taiwan.  How do I like it here? I'm absolutely 'lovin' it'! 
There have been occasions where I have been confronted by negative experiences, but they are way too trivial to affect my positive impression on living here.  In general, making friends here takes a little more time than I had anticipated.  However, I am in luck.  Because I hate to admit this, but if you ain't downing that pint, you're going to have to try ten times harder to try and make friends, especially with the locals.  Then, there is the language gap.  I'm starting to understand why international students hang out in their own groups.  Most of the East Asian students I've met have trouble with even the simplest daily conversations.  It takes a real patient native speaker to converse with them, and even more patient to actually become best mates with them.  As I said, I'm in luck.  As long as you don't ask me to down shots, then I'm all in.  As weird as this may sound to those of you who don't know me too well, I feel more comfortable hanging out with North Americans than British people, or even Asians. 
England, or the UK rather, is the true origin of the 'gentlemen' culture.  I do not recall one single occasion when boys back home would offer to buy everyone at the table a round of drinks, and not ask to be paid back.  Similarly, I do not recall any occasion upon which a boy would offer his more comfortable seating for me while he sits at an uncomfortable corner.  No, they do not all rise when a lady stands up.  But, the common sense of holding the door for you, despite your gender, is certainly the kind of thing I really appreciate here.
Since you have already caught a glimpse of what food is like here, I won't elaborate on that here.  However, I must take this opportunity to share with you my one month experience as a grad student.  There are good and bad days.  On the first tutorials, I always get extremely nervous, because I am not aware of what to expect, or rather what is expected of me.  Literature tutorials are unlike other tutorials.  ALL of our modules, with the exception of Research Skills, are seminars.  Some tutors do not necessarily 'pick on you', but others enjoy hearing 'everyone's' voice.  Despite the reading list, as if it wasn't long enough in the first place, we have to quickly learn to find access to all kinds of background readings, criticism and/or journals. Only today, have I begun to really engage in my 'study-mode'.  Before this, I was only a part-time student and a part-time tourist.  Shame on me, but can you really blame me?
Anyhow, as I said, there are good days and bad days.  Sometimes I walk out of the tutorial feeling like a complete idiot, wondering why I had thrown away 5 years' saving just so I could torture myself.  On other occasions, hopefully a lot more of these will come, I feel like I have shown them, meaning the tutor and my peers, that I have fulfilled what I had said I would do in my personal statement.  Not that they had ever read it, but it just makes me feel better.
From the blog articles, it may seem that I am spending way too much time in pubs drinking beer and watching football.  The truth is, that only occupies a minor portion of my days here.  Take advantage of this opportunity to get to know Liverpool through me.  As I have already been given an assignment, the frequency of posted articles will surely decrease.

這一個月以來，雖然還是有遇到負面的經驗，但大致上來說我真的很喜歡這裡的生活。交朋友不容易，但也不難。很不想這麼說，但如果你不喝酒[一滴都不碰]的話，那你恐怕只能跟文化背景類似的亞洲人交朋友了。雖然我不是挺愛他們這裡的飲酒文化[瘋到不是喝啤酒，是喝小口杯的烈酒...]但我必須承認，喝啤酒真的讓我交到不少朋友。另外一點就是，我遇到的亞洲人[在這指東亞或東南亞]英文能力真的不是挺理想的。北美朋友跟英國朋友都跟我反應過，他們不是不想跟他們交朋友，而是語言真的有代溝。說到這我不得不佩服他們，念英語教學的也就算了，這層樓住了個越南女孩來這學法律。我和他的對話從來沒超越過：『今天好嗎？』『你有課嗎？』。我真的很佩服他的勇氣。也希望他能夠順利完成學業。因為雖然不太能溝通，但我感覺的出來他是個好人。
『某人』想知道這裡的男生如何？怎麼說呢？北美來的就姑且不談。可能大家比較熟悉。不過英國是『紳士』出產地。記得那天我帶了£10進pub。結果那£10原封不動的跟我回家。原因是，有人要點酒，一定會問同桌的有沒有人需要。但他們從不會叫你掏錢出來還他們。[有朝一日也會輪到我...orz]這裡的男生也會很體貼的把自己比較舒暢的位子讓給女生。自己去做不舒服的小角落。雖然上述情形都是第一次見面的男生，但已經讓我很大開眼界了。不過我有護身符，所以不用擔心會被電到。[這部份英文沒有：除非是來自西班牙的那位出現在我眼前]話說回來，無論對方男生女生，扶著開著的門這種基本禮貌與常識，是我在台灣非常少見的。[男士女士都學學...]
食物的部份你們已經看到了。我就趁機分享一下這一個月的學生生活吧。
有時好、有時壞。剛開始每次上課都超級緊張。因為與其說不知道自己該期待什麼，不如說不知道教授對我有什麼期待。已經夠長的書單根本就還只是冰山一角。想要真正達到討論的目標，每一個作者、作品的背景介紹、評論、或是相關的週報都要啃！因為文學MA跟其他MA不一樣，我們只有一堂『研究課』是不太需要動腦筋的。其他的，你最好是每一堂課都要做好一定要開口講話的心裡準備。教授們不一定每個人都會一個一個點名。但也有些喜歡聽到每一個人的聲音的教授。所以有時課堂結束後，我整個人就變得好沮喪。不知道自己幹麻花那麼多錢來活受罪。但有的時候又覺得，我真的有做到我personal statement裡說我會做到的。[據說大家都是亂寫，可是我是很認真的...]
或許有人認為我在這的生活都是去pub＋喝啤酒＋看球賽。你要從文章中評論我在這的生活，那當然會是這樣啊。我總不會每天都寫我看書唸書的文章吧？這樣會有人看嘛？你們應該趁機多看看我眼中的利物浦。因為，我已經拿到第一份『功課』的題目了。再過一陣子的發文率就不會像現在這麼頻繁了。

The food here comes in different types.  There is quality 'restaurant food'.  There is the quid-saver 'take-aways'.  Then, there is the very English 'pub food'. 
My group of friends already have a list of our favorite pubs to go to.  Different pubs offer different atmospheres.  Depending on the purpose of our visits, we go to different pubs to satifsfy our different needs.  Fly in the Loaf is a classy, slightly more elegant pub to watch football matches.  The people here are quieter and the bartenders are more efficient, ie. you never really have to wait too long till they notice you. 
We came here that night to watch the English national team play against Belarus.  Since we arrived early, we took the opportunity to fill our tummies with 'pub food'.  Thus, this is also your chance to witness what pub food is like. 
英國的食物分很多種。有那種餐廳式的比較高級的飲食。也有那種平價位的簡/速食。另外還有一種叫做pub food。
雖然才來不到一個月，我們已經在心中列出我們最喜歡去的幾間pub。不同的pub有不同的氣氛。在不同的心情之下想去的pub也就會隨著心情更變。Fly in the loaf是個比較有格調的pub。來這的人呢，跟其他間比起來文靜許多。如果不喜歡吵鬧，又想看球賽，那這裡是再適合不過了。另外，這的bartender效率也很快。通常不到幾秒鐘的時間，就會有人看到你在那等著點飲料。其他間尖峰時期有時要等上五分鐘以上呢。
這天我們來是為了要看英格蘭對白俄羅斯的球賽。不過我們很早就到了，所以趁機體驗一下這兒的pub food。也趁機讓沒來過英國或是沒嚐過pub food的朋友們了解一下。

It wasn't that impressive.  But considering that it's 'pub food', it was acceptable.  If you order before 7pm on certain days, you get a great deal of 2 for 1.  Since there were four of us, that's exactly what we did. 
其實沒有特別好吃。但以pub food的品質來說應該算是不錯的了。這邊的pub常常有不同的促銷活動。像這天我們去，在晚上七點以前點餐，兩餐只算你一餐的錢。我們有四個人，當然就享有這『買一送一』的優惠囉。
The thing is, pubs here only serve food at certain hours, usually lunch and supper hours.  It's a great way to start the evening before downing your pints.  Although the quality of the ingredients and the dish itself cannot be expected to excede a certain level. 
在喝酒之前吃飽飽，當然是比較舒服的啦！不過這的pub並不是整天都有食物可以吃的。一般來說午餐跟晚餐時間會有餐點。其他時間就只有喝的比較多囉。而且呢，pub裡提供的食物啊，你絕對不要對它有太大的期望啊。

Before you start preaching to me about how unhealthy it is to eat pre-cooked meals, I need you to understand a few points.  First of all, I have a small appetite.  Even if I can afford to eat out every night, it would still be a total waste of money because I probably won't be able to finish the whole meal.  Second of all, I don't have a lot of quids to throw around, so I must try and make my own meals on a daily basis and save my money for special occasions.  Thirdly, the vegetables here are so different from Asian vegetables, it will take me a really long time to try and figure out what I can do with them.  Finally, pre-cooked foods are actually GOOD, meaning delicious, here.  I'm sure you'll see what I mean once you see the pictures.
你可以不用告訴我：『微波食物很不健康』。因為我知道。只是你要了解：
一、我的胃口並不大。即使我有很多££，出去吃也不一定能把盤子上的菜吃完。浪費呀！
二、我沒有很多££。所以平時一定要靠自己想辦法。等到大夥人馬想去餐廳用餐時，我才不會覺得自己負擔不起。
三、這裡的蔬菜跟亞洲的蔬菜差很多。還是要一段時間之後才能想出到底能拿他們做什麼。
四、這邊的微波食品很好吃啊！

只要幾分鐘的時間，就可嚐到美味的義式料理。你說，我怎麼會不對微波食品心動呢？

That's right.  It is salmon in the picture.  This is the only 'meat' I have been able to eat.  And I will take advantage of this, because you can buy smoke salmon trimmings in Tesco, for only 88p!  Squeeze some lemon, add some basil and oregano, and you have a plate of very healthy smoke salmon salad!
你們沒看錯。那是鮭魚沒錯。這一陣子以來，這是我唯一敢吃的『肉』。在這裡的一年裡，很抱歉，我還是會繼續吃。因為Tesco有賣那種碎片的燻鮭魚。一包88p。我可以吃兩次。擠一點檸檬，撒上一點羅勒和oregano[中文是什麼？]美味又健康的燻鮭魚沙拉就在眼前囉！
This was also very tasty.  Unfortunately, I think I was tired that day.  Or else, I would have added some fresh veggies.
這道也很好吃。不過我記得這天好像挺累的。不然即使吃微波食品，我還是會盡量放一些新鮮蔬菜的。

This is not mircowave food, but still, packaged food.  Just as bad, but!  you actually have to cook it.  It is better in some ways because it's a lot easier for me to add veggies into it.  It's absolutely delicious!
這不是微波食品。是要自己煮的。應該可以算是調理包之類的吧。他的好處是，要加新鮮蔬菜進去是比較容易的。因為你還是得燒開水把他煮熟。這道也是非常好吃的喔！

Well, just to wrap this up a bit, I would like to say that eating is definitely not a problem.  In fact, I have enough reason to believe that I will actually be able to accummulate some fat during the year because I absolutely love the food here.  Though I have still yet to figure out what to do with the veggies here, fruits are very easy to find.  With that, and lots of water, and we must not forget the one-beer-a-day principle, I think it is going to be a deliciously healthy year, food wise.
最後我想說的是呢，在這的飲食真的不是問題。我甚至覺得在這的一年反而我的增肥計畫可能會比較成功。這邊的食物太好吃了。雖然這的青菜還是有點難懂。[不知道怎麼下手...]但水果到處都買的到。我相信水果＋蔬菜＋很多水＋再加上每天一罐啤酒，這一年一定會是健康又美味的一年啦！

原本不是說要等到聖誕節嗎？不過我朋友拿到會員卡。心裡知道有打折，就經不起誘惑啦！我一進去就往童裝部看尺寸。試完三種尺寸後，有小姐跑來問我：你確定要買童裝的嗎？你有沒有看過女裝的？我回答他說：有。可是上面沒有球員號碼跟名字。其實出自好意，他一直覺的童裝可能太小。事實上，領子的部份稍微有點小。不過就整體而言，還是兒童尺寸比較適合我。那小姐真的很好心。自己也說女裝可能比較貴。於是我就決定敗下去啦！
接著，在結帳時，又看到一本Torres的"special souvenir"。恩...經不起誘惑，我...又敗了。
打折下來真的挺划算的。一件童裝球衣[有球員名字跟號碼的]£42。那本雜誌£3.50。加起來一共£45.50。折扣下來只要£40.95。等於，球衣有折扣，又賺到一本雜誌！

星期天早上聽到鐘聲後，一見窗外天空大片特藍！此時我對自己說：你不出門的話就太對不起自己囉！這裡的天氣，好的時候，好的不得了。差的時候，又濕又冷的，也是非常糟糕。不過好處是，我來這裡以後幾乎每個週末都有陽光照耀。天氣不好的時候都是要上課，也沒什麼機會可以出去閒晃。因此，我就趁這天沒有安排其他行程的情況下，帶了相機走了幾步路到隔壁的教堂去拼命的猛拍。
The church bells summoned the good weather last Sunday.  After noticing how wonderful the weather was, I decided that it was too good a day to waste away staying indoors.  It gets cold and wet during the week for days on end.  However, I have been lucky, because ever since I got here, the weather was always pleasant on weekends.

這間教堂是天主教教堂。圖片中看到正好與這間教堂對立的是英國國教教堂。入夜後會有一盞綠色的雷射光線對照。對當地人來說，他們很自豪的就是這裡的兩個基督教分派可以和平相處。這歸功於某位大主教[不過我忘了，抱歉...]。另外值得一提的是連結這兩間教堂的街道名叫做：『希望之街』[Hope Street]。某位英國朋友說，那道雷射光的功用是在於喝醉的時候可以幫你找到回家的路...哈哈！
This is a Catholic cathedral.  In the picture above, stands the local Anglican cathedral.  Once night falls, the two buildings shine a ray of green laser beam towards each other.  The locals are proud of their peaceful history between the two branches of Christianity.  This is the result of the effort of one of the archbishops, whose name I have unfortunately forgotten.  The street that connects these two cathedrals is called 'Hope Street'.  There cannot be a more suitable name than that.  According to one of my flatmates, the laser beam 'helps people find their way back when they are drunk'.

鐘聲開始響起後我才出門。到我要離開之前，鐘聲還沒停。你瞧！這一下子的時間我按下了幾次快門？雖然當地人都覺得他很醜，不過我喜歡教堂的原因，就跟我喜歡廟宇的原因是一樣的。每一間都是『底片殺手』。

Is 'Best Kebab' really the 'Best Kebab' in town?  Well, seeing that I've only had one kebab since I got here, it would be unfair to claim that it is, indeed, the best kebab there is in Liverpool.  But undoubtedly, it is pretty good.  Its name certainly lives up to its reputation!  Below is a picture of my veggie kebab.  Fresh veggies, fried mushrooms, what more can I ask for in a kebab? It's absolutely delicious.  In addition to that, it is just the right portion for someone with a small tummy, like me.  I could finish the whole thing. 
店名叫做『Best Kebab』。不過真的是城裡最棒的kebab嗎？我只吃過這間的kebab，所以如果現在就稱他為城裡最贊的，好像對其他賣kebab的不太公平。但不可否認的是，他真的很好吃。份量剛剛好。胃口本來就不大的我，剛剛好可以把他啃完。新鮮的蔬菜配上熱炒菇菇。那菇菇真是鮮嫩多汁。搭配冷冰冰的蔬菜，溫度剛剛好適合馬上一口接著一口吃。
After our kebabs, we went to a pub on campus and had a pint each.  The after taste of the kebab goes hand in hand with beer.  Although I don't expect myself to dine out much, due to the rediculously expensive prices here, I will definitely return to 'Best Kebab' for another veggie kebab.  I will also try out other kebabs, just to see if their kebab is, truly, the best kebab.
啃完kebab之後我們到校園裡的一間pub喝啤酒。那kebab殘留在口中的味道，配上啤酒真的是絕配。雖然我不會太常吃外食，但我一定會回來這間再多吃幾次他們的素食kebab。而且呢，我也會試試別間的kebab，再來看看，他們是不是真的是城中最贊的kebab。

There are many things that I can take advantage of while I'm here in the UK.  Other than the vast collection of English resources in the library, the performances in the world renowned Philharmonic Hall by the world acclaimed Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, easy access to football match broadcasts[however vain it may sound...], there is also the frequent lectures and talks by notable contemporary figures in the literary realm.
In fact, I just came back from one last night.  John Carey's talk on William Golding: How Novels Begin was the first lecture I attended since I got here.  John Carey is a literary critic who has edited works by Milton, Donne, and Orwell, just to name a few.  He has also published books and biographies on famous authors.  In his preparation of his new biography on William Golding, the author of the Lord of the Flies, he came to Liverpool and told us about the man, the work, and most importantly, how novels begin.
As a result of having been 'ordered' to attend this, I, and probably most of the other literature MA's as well, did not expect much to happen during the talk.  Contrarily, it was an eye-opener.  The presentation was insightful, though the content may seem irrelevant to certain MA's.  However, speaking of that, nothing is ever irrelevant, especially in the literary realm. 
After the lecture, many of us stayed for 'drinks'.  Keep in mind, that we are all adults.  This, was also an eye-opener.  To be in the same room, drinking wine with your MA mates, other MA's, your tutors, and someone who actually has his own Wikipedia entry is extremely exciting for a 'small-town' girl like me.
I didn't manage to speak to John Carey himself, but I did finally get a chance to talk to my tutor, with whom I have had correspondence since 2007.  I intended to ask him about how to go about reading an annotated text where the notes are so extensive that they out-length the original text.  He gave a few pointers, then very kindly turned the subject and asked me how I was doing personally.  I told him that I liked it here a lot, and that I am very happy to have finally made it here. 
My friends were waiting for me with some more wine and spaghetti, so unfortunately, I had to pardon myself.  This was a very interesting night.  It is an honor to 'hang around' people who enjoy their wine in a very 'classy' way. 
This is the first lecture that I attended.  This will not be the only one that I will be attending. 
Tonight, at 5pm, there is another lecture by Brian Aldiss on Science and Civilization.
A month from now, Philip Pullman, will be in Liverpool as well! 
Life, doesn't get any better than this.
人家辛辛苦苦到了英國，可不能空手空腦回去。除了超大間的圖書館，以及世界文明的愛樂音樂廳及樂團，還有隨手可得的足球消息以轉撥之外，還有另一個讓我非常興奮的：無時無刻都有名人來演講。所謂的『名人』，當然第一是指文學界的名人。第二是指你在Wiki真的可以找的到的人。
昨天晚上參加John Carey的演講。他是一位經驗非常豐富的文學評論家。編輯過Milton的Paradise Lost以及其他文豪的作品。也寫過許多文豪的傳記。這次的言講主題是William Golding以及小說是如何開始的。William Golding是『蠅王』的作者。我雖只記得電影版的片段，從來沒讀過小說，但在文學這個領域，任何事情都很有可能會有關連性的。
我們Research Skills的老師強迫我們參加這場演講。其實因為是被強迫的，原本沒有很期待。不過內容真的很豐富也很精彩。
之後大伙一起聚在某教授的小房間裡喝酒。真的就像電影中的情節一樣。學生與教授以及這位知名的文學評論家同聚在一個小房間裡非常有格調的喝著紅酒討論文學。
很不巧，我朋友已經煮好義大利麵又帶了紅酒[又是酒...]等著我去跟他們會面。不過要離開之前，我逮到機會跟上莎老頭那課程的教授聊了一下。我其實是要問他如果遇到一本註解比原文還要長的版本該如何下手。他給了我一些建議之後，很好心的轉移話題問了關於我自己的適應度。我跟他說我很喜歡利物浦。也很高興終於能夠來到這，開始這課程。其實我有點不太敢再講下去。怕我再講下去又會忍不住情緒化的掉眼淚。
不過這晚真的讓我大開眼界。大概是我宅女當太久了。
今天晚上又有演講。Brian Aldiss 要探討文明以及科學。
十一月的時候 Philip Pullman [你沒看錯！真的是The Golden Compass的作者] 也會來利物浦辦兩次演講。

各位：
禮拜天早上被鄰近的鐘聲叫醒後，發現天氣真是好的不得了。若是待在室內錯過這好天氣，不知道要等多久才能再見到陽光普照的好天氣。因此，我拿起相機做了一個非常觀光客的事情：去教堂拼命的猛拍照。不過由於照片非常多，所以可能還得等個一兩天才會貼出。今天先跟大家分享，我每個禮拜天早上的鬧鐘。
Sunday morning, I was summoned by the bells of the cathedral nearby.  Seeing what gorgeous weather awaits me outside, I simply could not resist walking out of my little pad.  So, I took my camera and took about two dozen shots around the cathedral.  Since there are quite a few photos, the scenes of and around the cathedral will have to wait, but let me share with you, first, my Sunday alarm clock.

有沒有搞錯？又是一家LFC Club Store？你才有沒有搞錯。這裡是哪裡？利物浦耶！怎麼可能只有一家Club Store。雖然坪數沒有比Superstore大。裝潢也沒有比Superstore豪華，不過店內販售的產品跟Superstore比起來還是有差。在這間看到許多Superstore沒看到的商品。還好這天被我們發現這家店的時候，身邊根本沒多少££。不然我又會經不起誘惑啦！
Yeap.  ANOTHER LFC Club Store.  This is, afterall, LIVERPOOL.  It would be quite absurd to only have one club store, wouldn't it?  Although it is smaller than the superstore, the inner decoration is also not as grand and posh, there are a lot of various items that could not be found in the superstore.  Fortunately for me, I was skint when we found this.  Otherwise, this would have been another trial of temptation which I would have been doomed to fail to pass.

St George's Hall is a neoclassical building which houses law courts and concert halls.  It is a Grade I listed building, along side Buckingham Palace, Royal Opera House, and Albert Dock, which is also in Liverpool, just to name a few. 
The building is situated near Lime Street Station, in the center of the city.  It is an impressive building, and I hope to God that I will have an opportunity to walk inside it [to attend a concert...] at least once while I'm here.
Here are some of the statues around the hall.  It was a sunny day, and I felt guilty about wasting such lovely weather reading indoors.  That is why you are able to see the pictures posted here.
開玩笑！St. George's Hall可是跟白金漢宮同等級的建築物喔！建築物內有法庭以及音樂廳。希望在這一年會有機會進去聽一場音樂會呀！這次忙裡偷閒的出來閒晃，其實主要是因為天氣實在太好！躲在室內唸書實在太對不起自己了。在這也要先跟中文讀者說聲抱歉。因為我真的不會用中文介紹建築物以及歷史。所以中文的部份可能會應該會一定會比英文的陽春許多。
廢話不多說，雖然還沒能進去參觀，先來看看周圍的紀念雕像吧！

我朋友說[不過不知道準不準，因為他雖然學法律，可是又不是當地人...]那是這以前一個有名法官的雕像。在他左腳下坐的是『正直』。右腳下的則是『真相』。

【時事】Zeitgeist

聽說今天是雙十節。好像不貼點台灣的東西，心裡會有點過意不去。因為某人在MSN上告訴我禮拜五放假，我還差點忘記這天是什麼日子，為什麼要放假啊！
這是我在台灣的最後一刻。因為自己常常過度焦慮的個性，早早就把東西全部都準備好。此時老哥建議在這段等待的時間去喝個咖啡。我跟Jason還有老哥就跑去離家不遠卻很少去的菲瑪。
老實說，我還蠻訝異這家店還存在。因為第一次去的時候，雖然覺得是個不錯的店，但因為地點的關係，讓我不得不懷疑他們能否順利經營。
It would seem a bit unpatriotic if I posted something completely unrelated to Taiwan, seeing that I had almost forgotten what October 10th meant.  So, this is yet another 'Taiwan' article.
This is my last moment in Taiwan.  Knowing me, I was ready to 'take-off' well before my departure time.  Alex suggested that we have some coffee while we wait for the time to pass, and thus we headed off to Fima.
I was quite surprised at the fact that it was still up and running.  It is a nice coffee shop, and the service is wonderful.  Yet the venue didn't seem ideal for a coffee shop.  I'm glad it's still open.

由於要上飛機，不敢喝咖啡。怕在飛機上睡不著，只好點果汁來喝。
I stayed away from the caffeine to avoid a sleepless flight.
這是Jason點的？？？<-- 什麼東西我忘了。哈哈！
老哥此時拿起我幫他預留的書開始啃書。我嘛！就幫Jason留在台灣的單身生活做最後的準備。交代他什麼時候要把貓帶去打針。打針時要跟醫生說什麼、問什麼。還有交代他如何買貓飼料跟貓沙。嗚...說到這邊開始更想念那兩隻臭貓了。
其實呢，我們家可愛的地方在於大家都很體諒彼此，其實家庭觀也很重。只是我們都不會說出來。不過這不算壞處喔。因為我們都會用『行動』來表現。
Alex started to read the books I left for him, and I helped you do some last minute preparations for your bachelor life in Taipei.  When to take the cats to the vet, what to say to him, what to ask, and how to buy cat food and cat litter, blah blah blah.  And now I miss them...
The cute thing about my family, is the fact that we actually love and understand each other.  But we don't verbalize our feelings.  However, once in a blue moon, we choose to demonstrate that love through ACTION, which speaks a thousand times, louder than words.

That T-shirt, I see it as a token of unspoken brotherly love.  The grammatical error on the second line, I see that as a genuine portrayal of 'Taiwan culture'. LOL!!
