il Giardino Romantico

清涼的水流聲、為炎熱的夏天家了一分清爽。沿著小溪走，讓樹林以及水流聲撫平心中的不安、減輕平日累積下來的壓力。

The flowing of the river extinguished the heat in this mid-summer day.  Allow the little river to pacify and calm your heart.  Relax and let all your pressure flow away with the water.



小河流，有時急，有時靜。

The duality of nature: sometimes quiet and sometimes active. 



想要得到更多、爬得更高、達到目標就不能不認得這個『忍』字。

If you wish to receive more, achieve more, then you must learn to persevere. 



蝴蝶隨處可見。它們也正享受著大自然的饗宴。

Even the butterflies are enjoying this natural feast.



雖然已到達瀑布，可是還是很好奇：這階梯通往哪！？

I've reached the waterfall.  But where does this lead to?



爬呀爬。有些累了，就先歇著。

Sometimes when you get tired of endless climbing, it's a good idea to take a rest.



人們把這字刻上去，不也是希望看到的人有所領悟？

My guess is, these words weren't carved on these stones for no reason.  Perhaps they have inspired many that have walked by. 



因此我再這就停了。拿出今日帶出的法寶，也讓寶貝們出來透透氣。

So I stopped here, in front of the stone, and took out the treasures I brought with me today.



中文程度有限就是這樣。光看中文的看不懂。看翻譯的嘛，又覺得失去了原味。只好中英版本都帶，隨時可以反覆參考。今天我打算隨緣的領教道教思想。隨便翻一頁，看看有什麼道理可以吸收。

It is extremely difficult for me to understand ancient Chinese writings.  The only way I could come to an adequate understanding, without loosing its original flavor, is to read the English translation and Chinese original together, at the same time.  I decided to let nature teach me a lesson today.  So I flipped through the book, and stopped at a random page, to see what lesson there is to be learned today.

第二十一章
五色令人目盲；五音令人耳聾；五味令人口爽；
馳騁畋獵，令人心發狂；難得之寶；難得之貨，
令人行妨。是以聖人為腹不為目，故去彼去此。

The five colors cause one's eyes to go blind.
Racing horses and hunting cause one's mind to go mad.
Goods that are hard to obtain pose an obstacle to one's travels.
The five flavors confuse one's palate.
The five tones cause one's ears to go deaf.

Therefore, in the government of the Sage:
He's for the belly and not for the eyes.
Thus he rejects that and takes this.

兩種語言反覆研究一番後，就得看自己的領悟力了。看懂了，可是你真的懂了嗎？你懂了，可是你真的會了嗎？我想只有歲月能告訴我吧！

Well, understanding the writing is one thing, but really applying and incorporating the teachings into one's life takes up much more time than just a ten minute sitting, doesn't it?



瀑布說實在的比起一路上的小溪，根本一點看頭都沒有。但對這段旅程我可一點都不覺得失望。

The waterfall was a bit disappointing compared to what I've seen along the way.  But I wasn't disappointed about this trip at all.
