對六龜印象最深的是什麼？以前坐車到六龜要經過幾個山洞。我忘了是不是真的有六個。不過記得幼年時覺得過山洞實在是一件令人興奮的事！
無論是一個人回來看阿嬤，還是跟家裡人一起回來，這小鄉村的景色總是喚起許多記憶。當然都是非常美好的記憶。
可惜已關門大吉的早餐店：
小時候只要一起床，阿公就會問我要不要吃饅頭。然後放阿嬤一個人在家、高興的帶著我出來買饅頭。就是這一家。而且阿公常常買『紫色的饅頭』。之後回台北只要看到這『紫色的饅頭』都還會想起阿公喔！這次回去看到他們不營業了，覺得好可惜呦！

在網路上輕鬆可以找到許多畜牧業背後的殘酷真相。這篇是首次分享這類的資訊，所以先分享一些大家比較能接受的影片作為分享。
There are plenty of video clips that portray the brutality of the livestock industry.  Since this is the first article concerning this topic, a more subtle approach is presented here.

This first video shows Jamie Oliver [host of popular culinary shows like 'The Naked Chef', 'Jamie's Kitchen', and his revolutionary 'Jaimie's School Dinners] talking a bit about battery chickens.  These are chickens that are forced to live in small cages that are about only as big as they are, which means there is little room for movement.  Watch him examine a chicken rescued from a battery farm.

最後這段將有血腥畫面。但請記得：這也只是冰山一角！何況影片中死的是一隻。每一天大家吃進肚子裡成千上萬隻，都是透過這同樣[或更慘忍的]方式被屠殺 的。雖然我不是完全贊同Jamie這樣在電視上公開屠殺動物，但我同意他們想表達的：因為你飼養動物是為了要它上桌，更要在它有生命時候尊重它！

看到這句，我想即使對文學沒麼興趣的人也會知道是出自莎老頭筆下的名句。不過我想請問一下，你知道這'To be or not to be'之後是接哪一句？

常常看到網路上有人引用這句話。如果是自己不認識的人引用，只要把視窗關掉就當作沒看到就好。如果是認識的，我會告知。但要不要改，決定權還是在文章作者。就像你們看到我打出來的中文一樣，看到不小心打錯的、或是我真的不知道正確的字時，是否也會覺得很刺眼？如果有人願意告訴我，我會很樂意的改過來。有一次看到有人把這經典名句寫錯，好心的告知，卻都不理我。不是為自己打抱不平。而是為那些想出這些名句的作者們抱不平呀！糾正我中文的，會幫助我更了解中文。而受西方文學影響的我，也同樣希望大家在引用經典名句時，能夠先做個功課。網路資訊這麼發達，只要你記得某句話的幾個字，相信就能很快查出正確無誤的原句。
開始使用[Words]這個小框框後，有時候是自己在閱讀時接觸到的句子。感動了。就拿出來分享。有時候是突然想到以前讀過的句子，但記不得完整的或正確的句子。把腦子裡記得的幾個字輸入，Google一下，馬上就查的到了。所以不要跟我說這是一件很艱難的任務。

很早以前就對太極拳很有興趣。在我開始接觸瑜珈之前就曾經有想過要試試看。不過，人嘛！總是一堆藉口。之前交了一個練太極拳的男友，一直找藉口推托。沒想到，過了幾年又交了一個從西半球飄洋過海來台就為了學太極拳的男朋友。可是後來練了瑜珈。即使心中還是覺得太極拳很好，還是沒給自己機會去嘗試、體驗。只有偶爾叫Jason教教基本的東西。不過我這學生也太糟糕了。他有教，我根本沒吸收。
這一陣子家裡總是冷冰冰的。還一直欺騙自己說什麼天氣暖一點就會練了。結果勒？每天早上都練到電腦前面來。赫然發現自己食言後，馬上搬出一本接著一本的書來看。裝用功。後來覺得自己實在太糟糕了。作息調整到提前兩個小時睡覺後發現早上比較有精神。一天也比之前晚睡晚起的長。能做的事情也就變多了。因此我現在固定8:30~9:00起床。但鬧鐘響了不會直接起來。會先平躺在床上做呼吸。呼吸練完後在轉身，面向下的先來個蛇式，在起來做貓式伸背。這樣偷工減料還安慰自己說這樣就算有做瑜珈了。
因為過年前正好禮拜五空下來了。雖然少賺了一些錢，有點不甘心[其實不甘心是另有原因的...]。但我一直想著一句話：上天關了一扇門，卻也會為你留一扇窗。後來決定要將禮拜五拿來作點有意義的事。瑜珈，我白天可以練。那晚上呢？我想，太極拳就是上天為我留的「一扇窗」囉！
做了這個決定以後心裡超興奮的。馬上去Youtube找了幾部初學者專用的影片看了一下。這影片我傳給Jason跟他分享。因為我只留了網址。但他果然很了解我！一回信就猜說：你該不會是想開始練太極拳了吧！？當然，這影片能傳遞的有限。最重要的還是要跨出第一步！
今天[星期五]晚上，從家教學生家回來後，放下包包馬上又下樓去找練太極拳的。首先到了管理中心小姐跟我說的地點。根本沒人。好失望。想說會不會我記錯時間了！？還是今天有什麼事情就取消！？後來想到小姐還跟我說了第二個地點。馬上就跑去看看有沒有在那。果然！被我找到了！

每次回六龜，除非遇上有車的舅舅們也恰好在，不然的話其實幾天的行程都只會在阿嬤家附近。不過孤僻的我，反倒是希望不會遇上舅舅們。不是因為不喜歡他們。而是因為我回六龜的最終目的還是看阿嬤。
阿嬤家位於鄉公所旁。阿公以前就是在鄉公所上班的。小時候曾被丟[送]到這來渡過幼年時光。所以這裡，我比我哥、我姊有著更深的感情。

不知道有多少童年時期的全家福是在這裡照的。不過這銅像似乎也經不起歲月的考驗。這銅像對我來說已算是「古蹟」了。會想照下來跟大家分享，是覺得即使你去寶來、不老溫泉、彩蝶谷、或老濃溪經過六龜，也很少有人會來到這看看小鄉鎮的鄉公所。

這是到了台南後hinlin和Sue帶我去吃的餐廳。非常中國風。不過hinlin一直說他們有些設計很不道地。這噸飯我想Sue是吃的最辛苦的。雖然他們兩家都是各一男一女，不過hinlin的兩個大了些，比較懂得自己照顧自己。何況hinlin的老公也在場，可以幫忙照顧。Sue就得同時照顧睿睿跟仔仔。
開飯前，hinlin拿出了本故事書。睿睿馬上拿來翻翻看：

真的要正面思考的話，我會這樣想：有多少人可以收到同一個學校寄來的第兩份offer pack呀！呵呵！
上個禮拜開信箱看到這個。每次看到Liverpool寄來的東西都會好興奮。即使去年早就看過類似的東西了。第一次的經驗一定是最棒的。因為在收到offer pack之前，我是先收到 offer letter。如今我的 offer letter 依舊無下落。但看看這個也好啦！
跟去年的設計很不一樣喔：

抱歉，讓你們久等了。最近有好多想寫的都還沒來得及寫。放假期間想說趁機來全部貼出來。沒想到去了一趟南台灣，之前的沒貼完又欠了一堆文。為了不要讓hinlin與Sue等太久，先貼一篇孩子們玩耍的圖文上來。接下來的遊記我就可以來慢慢寫了。

A Tale of Murder, Insanity, and the Making of the Oxford English Dictionary
Originally named 'The Surgeon of Crowthorne: A Tale of Murder, Madness and the Love of Words', this is  one wonderfully, well-researched piece of work.  It celebrates the birth of the magnificent Oxford English Dictionary (OED)and promulgates an acknowledgment of an extremely intelligent man who had collaborated with lexicographers throughout the process of its making from an asylum. 
This is not a fictitious story, but a meticulously researched narration of poignant story behind the making of one of the largest literary projects in the history of the English language.  It is not difficult, after having finished the book, to imagine what it had been that inspired the author, Simon Winchester to illustrate the story through words.  However, telling a story only makes one a storyteller.  Not only is Winchester an adroit storyteller, but he is also an exceptionally poetic novelist.  The readers can readily feel his love of the English language through his careful choice of words and sentence structures.  This is one of few contemporary books that I have found enjoyable, yet extremely educating. 
The book, as Winchester states, has two protagonists - the OED and Dr. William Chester Minor, the 'madman' who volunteered to contributing his knowledge to the making of  the OED.  Minor was one of the most prolific contributors.  The OED was one colossal project.  Of course, we may all take it for granted now, but a dictionary is undeniably an essential tool for language learning.  This huge project brought together two men - James Murray, a lexicographer and Minor himself.  Awed by the intelligence and thankful to his contributions to the project, Murray set out to visit Minor in person.  He was even more dumbfounded by the discovery of Minor's institutionalization after years and years of letter correspondence.
Why is it so difficult to accept the fact that sanity and intelligence may not coexist?  Perhaps it had been the war that sabotaged the ever-so sedate soul of Minor, but could it be that such an intelligent man was so overloaded with information that led to the malfunctioning of his ability to reason?  Nonetheless, could he have taken part in the making of the OED if it had not been the murder he committed?  This is not a discussion of morality behind the motive of murder, but one of the many stories behind the making of the OED. 
Its educational value has led me to gain a better appreciation of the two copies of Oxford Dictionaries I own (Pocket and Mini).  This reading has also allowed me to finally understand why our high school English teacher crucified anyone who grabbed the Merriam-Webster instead of using her copy of the Oxford Dictionary.

到了高雄已經是下午一點多了。其實在車上是有看到幾家素食餐廳啦。在覓食的時候也有發現一家，但也許是過年期間，餓著肚子走了好久最後還是決定來這家買合菜。五十塊。只要沒有肉就okay！
第一天晚上在阿嬤家吃了從台北帶去的素菜包。兩顆根本吃不飽。阿嬤又開了個罐頭給我配地瓜飯吃。隔天快中午的時候他老人家陪我晃晃，要來找一間有素食的吃午餐。阿嬤說連晚餐也可以先買回去。因為他吃的不多，很多菜他也不太方便咬。還好是有找到一間素食館。
一路上看到美濃[來六龜會經過]的板條店很多都有提供素食的。在車上看到就已經有點想吃吃看了。沒想到到了六龜還真的讓我吃到了。
阿嬤吃初一十五的素。所以不介意跟我一起吃素。這個素板條有湯的跟乾的。這是湯的。還看得到我可愛的阿嬤的手肘喔！

車子開到了中部，我馬上就看到久違的太陽公公！心裡興奮的不得了。還在想說同時的台北是不是也能見到這陽光！？總之我要到南部去了！
下車沒多久，馬上讓我體驗到南台灣的熱情。計程車司機們站在陽光下想拉乘客來搭車，遇見我也問了一聲。我問了其中一個往火車站的方向，不但沒有不理我，還詳細的告訴我要往哪走，看到什麼就是火車站了。雖然不是第一次到高雄，但這裡的變化不比台北來的慢喔！每一次都會認不清方向。所以還是問問人家比較保險。
到了火車站想先覓食。不過我發現這附近其實沒什麼素食的。或許是我走錯方向了。最後只好將就在一家便當店買合菜。[我總覺得好像還是有吃到肉...噁～]
買票去六龜前到了舊的車站前面晃了一下。其實心裡很感動。有權威的人，除了有能力摧毀，也是同樣有保留文化精髓及創造的能力。新車站對我來說一點都沒有吸引力。因為小時候老媽帶我們回六龜，見到的都是舊車站。所以在新車站建立後，看到原本舊車站被保留下來，真的很高興。
