il Giardino Romantico

過年期間去了一趟高雄。自己開車去，又是當天來回，因此在高雄也只是去探望一下外婆就快閃返回台中了。回程有人提議說要一路吃回台中，反正大概會塞車，不如就苦中作樂。於是我們決定第一站來到台南麻豆的阿蘭碗粿。老爸老媽說這間好吃。我也沒吃過。基本上因為裡面有我不吃的豬肉，加上前一天才因為腸胃不好送醫院，因此我不打算吃太多。只是聽到大家要一路吃回台中開始興奮了！因為今年過年假期太短，根本沒拍到什麼東西。我想說一路吃回台中，又可以收集好多食記的照片夠我寫好一陣子了！
The family took a short day trip to Kaohsiung during the Lunar New Year holidays. All we did in Kaohsiung was pay our dear Granny a short visit, then left. On our way back, someone suggested that since traffic jam was almost inevitable, we might as well enjoy ourselves by devouring the delicacies along the way back to Taichung. Our first stop was Tainan for their famous 'rice bowl cake'. My parents highly recommended it, but I'd never had it. Seeing that I don't usually eat pork, and that the previous night I was just sent to the hospital for bad tummy, I didn't plan to each much anyway. I got excited about this plan, only because I thought I got a chance to take loads of pictures for articles on the blog. 
交流道一下來沒多久就抵達阿蘭碗粿。他們有專屬停車場。基本上翻桌率算快，所以原則上應該都會有車位啦。
It was not far off from the freeway. They have their own parking lot. People move fast and eat fast. So basically, you won't have to worry too much about waiting too long for a parking space - that is, if you have to wait at all.
光是賣個碗粿，瞧瞧他們就好幾個人在忙了。這天我們也是要排隊。不過因為賣的花樣不多，因此其實等地也不會太久。一部分人先去找位子，再派一個人排隊。
They don't have much variety on their menu, but look at all the people working their a*se off... We had to queue up, too, but not for too long. If you're with company, get someone to find yourselves a table while someone else can wait in the line.
過沒多久漂亮的碗粿就上桌了。
Then, voila! The famous 'rice bowl cake' of Tainan!
還有魚羹。

話說這碗粿還真漂亮呢。

因為腸胃還在復原中，因此我只點了魚丸湯。而且我以為一路還要吃下去，想說這一站就魚丸湯就夠了吧！
And all I could have was a nice bowl of fish-ball soup. At this point, I thought it was the wisest thing to do, seeing that there was still more food to go on the way. 
後來有偷吃一口碗粿，還真不錯。
I got a bite, without the pork, from my mum, and yeap! It sure was good. 
醬包都包好放在桌上。
Not quite environmental friendly, but this is indeed a very convenient and sanitary way of dispersing the sauce.
每桌也都有附上剪刀。
Of course, with that kind of packaging, scissors are a must.
此時我心想：這些人吃完這樣的一餐，真的還有可能繼續吃回台中嗎？？？？
Then, seeing all these bowls, I started to wonder... were they really capable of eating more after this meal!?!?
畢竟碗粿也算是容易飽食的餐點耶。
I mean, afterall, these bowl cakes were pertty filling!
 
吃飽上車後，果然不出我所料...
各吃了兩份碗粿加一份湯的他們，決定不吃了！直接開回台中！
啊啊啊啊啊啊！！！害我好失望啦！！！！
After the meal, we got back on the car, and not unexpectedly!!!
After each having had two rice bowl cakes and a bowl of soup.... They decided to call it a day!!!
What a disappointment!

這次來到高雄有兩個任務：喝喜酒＋探望外婆。兩個任務都完成了之後，原本舅舅提議可以搭公車去夢時代看看。但高雄的公車實在太不可靠。要去夢時代走走，不是不行。而是公車一定得準時。否則我們將會錯過回程的車。因此我倆決定捨棄這次去夢時代的行程。但當我們在考慮回到車站附近後中午要吃什麼的時候，難題又來了！雖然食記天仙也是看了不少，但一時要我想到火車站附近那兒有好吃的還真是有點困難。因此天仙這次又用強大的搜尋功能來找出值得一訪的店家了！
There were two missions to accomplish during this trip to Kaohsiung: one was to attend the wedding reception of a friend, and the other was to visit my granny. When we'd accomplished both, my uncle suggested that we take a short trip to Dream Mall, but seeing that the buses in Kaohsiung were not that reliable, we ditched the idea. When we returned to the Kaohsiung station neighbourhood, it was a difficult decision to decide what to eat. I've seen my share of food blogs, but it was still difficult to come up with something at the time. That's why I decided to leave it to Google again!
找到這間鴨肉店評價還不錯。只是實際從車站走過去才發現其實這路程也不算太近。還好我們從旅館check out後有先將行李放置在車站的寄物櫃。因此半個小時內的路程都還算走的了。從車站走到這，差不多15分鐘的路程吧。對走習慣的我們來說，根本不算什麼。順便消耗一點熱量，好多吃一點。回程再走走，順便消化消化。
I saw that the review for this duck place was not so bad. Seemingly, it was just aroudn the corner. Fortunately we had left our luggage at the station lockers earlier, so we could easily walk around. It was about a 15 minute walk from the station. Good distance. Enough to empty your tummy for the meal, and also help digest some afterwards. 
天仙看到的實際把這間店形容得非常好吃。但其實並沒有抱著太大的期望。只是不想吃到雷。沒想到一找到看到人潮還蠻多的，心想這決定應該是對的吧！
The blog entry I found was very favourable to this place. But I didn't put my hopes up too high. All I wanted was something decent. When I saw the crowd, I knew that I had made the right decision coming here!
我覺得一間生意好的店，除了餐點本身要好吃之外，服務當然也不能太差。而店員們頭腦思緒也要很清楚，否則人一多，誰點了什麼根本就記不清楚了！
The keys to keeping the business going, to me, it seems that other than having good food, the service can't be bad either. The people serving must also keep their heads clear, or else they won't be able to remember who ordered what!
鴨肉飯 Duck rice
天仙吃了一口就覺得：天啊！這也太好吃了吧！
I thought this was really good! 
鴨肉很鮮甜。不用沾醬就很好吃了。還有筍絲可以去去油膩。白飯也淋上了鴨肉汁，這樣的份量剛剛好。不會說一兩口鴨肉就沒了，令人吃得很不過癮。
It was nice and juicy. The bamboo shoots went quite well with the meaty rice. They poured some of the juice from cooking the duck into the rice, making the rice very savoury as well. 
每個店員都有自己負責的項目。所以在多人潮也不怕。老闆認真地切鴨肉ing。
Each of the workers had their own duties in the shop. This is (presummably) the owner, chopping up duck meat.
除了這碗鴨肉飯，當然還點了其他餐點。一篇食記要豐富，當然不能只有鴨肉飯。
Other than duck rice, there were also other dishes that we ordered. 
當歸鴨血。天仙原本以為是純鴨血，點了之後才知道原來是米血啊。不過很好喝喔！
The black thing in the soup is similar to the English delicacy - black pudding. I didn't know at the time (I thought it was just duck blood). After the soup arrive, I realised that there were too many of these blood puddings! (Although the soup was really nice!)
只不過因為小小的誤會，讓我們這餐實在很多鴨米血啊！對原本不愛吃米血的天仙來說，量實在有點多哩！
Well, now you can see that there were too many of these blood puddings! Normally, not my cup of tea. But I did have quite a lot that day! 
餐餐都要有青菜。青菜下肚後，才能減輕自己多吃的罪惡感。 XD
Veggies should go with every meal. After the veggies, you'll feel less guilty about the fatty duck meat you've eaten!
不過話說這當歸湯雖然有了重複的米血，但也是唯一天仙想嘗試的。其他好像有內臟，天仙並不愛。
I know there were too many blood puddings, but it was the only kind of soup I wanted to try. The other ones had insides, which I didn't really fancy.
當然，最終還是要有一盤實實在在的鴨肉，這篇食記才算完整！
Of course, last, but certainly not least... a plate full of this juicy duck meat!
 
雖然有骨頭，但不至於影響享用過程。帶點骨頭的鴨肉其實比較甘甜、鮮嫩。這些可都是鴨腿肉來著。
There were bones, but the meat around the bones were the best. These pieces were all from the thigh. 
天仙認為這張特寫沒有拍得很好啦。不過卻是可以清楚看到的確是鴨腿肉喔！
I've ruined this picture, but it's still evident that the plate of duck meat was, indeed, from the thigh!
 
雖然之前並沒有聽高雄的朋友提起過這間，但實際吃過一次之後覺得真的很棒！大推！
I'd highly recommend this place, although I'd not heard any of my Kaohsiung friend mention this place.

喜歡吃布丁的我想應該對台南安平的依蕾特不陌生吧！這次來到安平，雖有指名想吃依蕾特布丁，但後來卻把行程改了！你知道為什麼嗎？因為我們看到新開了一間超想去體驗的下午茶！
For those who fancy pudding, I'm pretty sure you'll be familiar with the pudding of Elate. They are located in Anping district, and during this trip, I had specifically asked that we make a special trip here. However, we got distracted, and changed our itinerary at the eleventh hour. Want to know why? Why don't you read on...
在大家所熟悉的依蕾特門市旁開了間cafe。瞧牠的樣子挺新的！很想嘗鮮，但也挺猶豫！因為pizza也還沒消化掉，吃了這個還要吃晚餐嗎？後來所幸決定捨棄晚餐，直接把這當晚餐吃了！
This cafe is located right next to the pudding shop. Seeing that it seemed quite new, we all wanted to give it a try. But we were a bit concerned, since the pizza we had earlier still had not fully digested. However, we then decided that we'd eat some sweet stuff in place of dinner. So we happily walked in and began our adventure in dessert land! 
從上面幾張圖就可看出，整間店的確都是新的！我們是四月初來的。他們好像是三月底開的。店裡的擺設，有種貴氣但不過分奢華的感覺。不過一走進店裡我卻不好意思起來。因為我穿著T-shirt＋牛仔褲＋夾腳拖... 來到裝潢這麼漂亮的地方，實在很跳tone。
翻了翻menu，我們三個女人終於決定要來吃什麼了！
You can see from the pictures above, how new the place was. We were here in early April. I think the place opened only a few days earlier (or something like that). The atmosphere of the place was elegant, but not too extravagant. However, I started feeling a bit embarrassed as I walked in, as I was only wearing jeans, t-shirt, and flipflops! 
After flipping through the menu, we finally decided what we were going to have! 
香蕉可可鬆餅 Banana Chocolate Pancake
對於不喜歡香蕉的我來說，這道其實很恐怖～ XD
不過若喜歡香蕉，應該會吃得很開心吧！（我瞧我朋友就吃得超開心的）
For someone who doesn't really like bananas, this plate seemed a bit scary... 
I suppose for those of you who really like bananas, you'd truly enjoy this. (My friend surely did enjoy it!)

色彩鮮艷，好看極了。

依蕾特閃電泡芙（可可公爵） Eclair (Chocolate)
非常好看，但不太好吃（是hard to eat的不好吃，不是not delicious的不好吃）因為真的不知道該從哪吃起。又不想破壞他～ 心疼啊！
This was also quite a sight. Although it was quite difficult to decide where to start the thing. 
吃完甜食也來點茶。
Tea goes well with desserts!

服務不錯！餐點也不錯！店裡氣氛也是很好。價錢也是很「台南」喔！
Good service, good food, and great atmosphere. The price was also very 'Tainan'! 
吃完這頓下午茶間晚餐，也代表我差不多該離開了。不過為了畫下此趟台南之旅的完美句點，我還是到隔壁的門市買了幾個回家慢慢享用！
After this afternoon tea, it meant that I had to say goodbye to this lovely city. However, before I left, I still insisted on going to their shop next to the cafe to buy some puddings to take home with me. 
 
總結就是，女生會很喜歡的一間下午茶．輕食店。男生可以帶心儀女子來，女生也可以約幾個好姊妹一同來談天說地聊八卦！
To sum up, it's basically a place that girls would simply adore! Guys, you can bring your girl here for a simple afternoon tea date, and girls, you can call up some sisters and just chat off like there's no tomorrow!

話說才吃完早午餐沒多久，我們就回到住處把行李"款款"。下午的行程可是要先來與另一個好友會合先。只是我們早午餐吃得晚，有點懷疑我們午餐還會吃得下嗎？雖然此時已經過了中午，但早餐的豐盛還尚未完全消化呢。管他的！反正來玩就是要盡情的吃。體重管理先閃一邊去。
Shortly after our brunch, we went back to our room to pack our things up. We were to meet up with another friend of ours later. For lunch. Yeap! I wondered, too: would we be able to eat anything else after that brunch? It was well after noon when we met up, and although  the brunch had been a late one, and it was still, quite a brunch! Since I'm here on holiday, I might as well just forget about weight management, and just eat till my heart's content! 
這間在安平的披薩店，我們找了一陣子。原本地址的那條路上來來回回好幾次都不見蹤影。問了人才得知原來搬家了。
The pizza place was in the Anping area. We looked around for a while, until finally we were told that they had moved to a new address. 
看到這價位覺得，要是我在多個胃，能多吃點的話那該有多好！又是朋友特別推薦的，想必一定是物超所值，高CP值的披薩囉！
Look at the menu! I wished I had another stomach to try out more of the flavours! Since it had been specially recommended, I was sure the place was not going to disappoint me!
雖說是間小小的店，不過也有奇妙之處。 
The place was small, and simple. But sometimes these tiny details still caught my attention.
倫敦熊表示：我餓了！快上菜吧！

第一個披薩上桌！顏色簡直美麗極了！這個口味是我大推的。是個簡單的瑪格麗特披薩。其實食材很簡單，只有起司、番茄與羅勒。但也正因為食材單純，更能吃得出真功夫。
The first pizza to be served - Margherita! The ingredients to this is simple: tomato, cheese, and basil. But because it's so simple, it can easily bring out the skill of the pizza maker!
瞧瞧這色彩繽紛的pizza和海ＸＸ搭配著還真是美呢！XD
Look at the colour of the pizza! Doesn't it go well with the green bottled Heineken?
再來看看這味！天啊！你看過pizza上用這麼大顆肥美的蚵仔嗎？
And, have you ever seen oysters that are so fresh and fat on pizzas? 
我只能說，台南真的是個好地方！蝦子口味的也絲毫不遜色。
All I can say is that Tainan is truly a wonderful place! Look at the shrimps on this pizza!
我這天龍國來的城市俗，平時被坑慣了。看到這些料鮮肥美的食材擺在眼前，又想到剛才菜單上的價格，真是怨恨自己不是台南人啊～
After having lived so long in Taipei, we get so used to being ripped off. It was quite unbelievable to see such fresh and massive ingredients used on pizzas! And considering how much they cost, it's a real pity that I don't live here!
 
因為美味，不出一下子，其中兩個人就完全把早午餐還沒消化完的事情拋到腦後！這三個披薩很快就啃食完了！
These gorgeous pizzas tasted absolutely amazing! The two of us that had just had brunch, completely forgot about brunch, and the three of us finished all three pizzas in no time at all! 
這台南人的服務也更不用說，即使沒有特別待遇，也會特別的親切。不過其實三個女生面對男老闆，總還是可以ㄠ到一些小優惠的啦！（嘻）
Since this was in Tainan, it's needless to say that the service was full of passion. Even if they don't offer you anything special deals, they still have their warmest welcoming. (But actually, for three girls to visit a shop full of guys, it's quite easy to get some sort of special deal la!)

前一天晚上晚餐前在海安路上漫步，看到了此景，便與友人提議，不如隔天早餐就來這裡吧！友人爽快地一口答應。本來也沒什麼特別的期待。他好不好吃我不知道，只知道跟好友一起度過的時光，無論是好的或不好的，都很值得珍惜。
During our walk along the road the previous night, we walked pass this place. I suggested that we could do breakfast here. My friend agreed without hesitation. Initially, I didn't have any particular expecation. I didn't know if the food here was good or not. All I knew was that every moment spent with a dear friend, was worth cherishing. 
雖然是睡到自然醒，但兩個人卻都八九點就睜開眼睛。話雖如此，但卻還是依舊賴在床上不想起來。直到發現時間好像到了，才勉強起床梳洗，準備來個早午餐探險。
Neither one of us had our alarm set, but both of us ended up awakening quite early (for a Sunday). We lingered on the bed, unwilling to get up. Until it was time... We reluctantly got up and got ready for our breakfast exploration.
 
其實這種早午餐店可是到處都有的。天龍國也不是沒有。但似乎在台南才會有這種愜意感的早午餐店。
Honestly, these brunch places are everywhere. They can be found in Taipei, too. But I think it is only in Tainan, that you'll find a place with such a serene atmosphere. 
來的也不算早了，但店裡就是空蕩蕩的只有我們這一桌。是因為不好吃吧？（你開始擔心了嗎？）
It wasn't that early when we arrived, but we were the only ones there. Yeah, the food's probably not that good. (I hear your worry...)
這種早餐店最可愛的地方就是一個忽略就容易錯過許多店家精心布置的小細節。食物到底好不好吃？稍待在揭曉喔！
The cutest thing about these places, is the tiny details that are easily neglected. As for the food? Well, the truth will be out... soon!
就在我們忙著按快門，記錄著這裏每一個小細節的同時，其他組客人也陸續來了！
While we were busy taking photos of the details of the shop, other customers started to arrive as well.
看起來，這間也是老房子改建的。保留了一些老舊的設計，再加入一些新的元素。
It looks as though this place was also refurbished from an old house. Some of the old designs were kept, and new elements were added.
這間店的寧靜氣氛，是我們兩好友覺得最享受的部分。
It was quality time for two friends who enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the shop.

隨著而來的就是今天的早午餐。
And shortly to follow, was the meal itself.
光看照片就知道，我想不用我多說，這份早餐實在是有夠美味！
From the picture, I'm sure it's needless for me to say how good it was! 
餐後上的是附餐飲料。
And the coffee that came with the set came right after the meal.
不知道在哪裡看見的文字，說好朋友，就是即使不說話，片刻的寧靜也不會使得彼此尷尬。
I can't remember where I saw these words, but the saying goes that when you're with a good friend, it means that there is no such thing as awkward silence. 
上餐後除了「好吃」、「好好吃」，其實別的也沒多聊。只是想要安靜地享受這一切。
During the meal, all we said to each other was how delicious the food was. Nothing else much was talked about. We both wanted to enjoy the silence. 
與其絞盡腦汁想著接下來應該要聊什麼呢？不如就用寧靜的方式來享受彼此的陪伴吧！
Rather than attempting to come up with something to say, why not just enjoy each other's company in the quietness?

這次來到台南，說實在的也沒做什麼特別新奇的事。但每次來台南，即使是舊地重遊，每次的感覺都很不一樣。有時候是因為陪伴的人不同，所產生感覺上的差異。這並不是壞事。試想，與有些人可以刺激，跟另一些人又有新奇，而跟某些特定的人又能夠平淡，怎會是一件壞事。雖然海安路不算沒來過，但此趟卻還是有新鮮事。在老房子裡住上一晚就已經夠新鮮的了。另外，當然還有與好友細細品嘗美食的樂趣，添加了更多色彩。
I never really do anything spectacularly grand or exciting when I'm in Tainan. However, every visit, even if I go to the exact same spots, the experience would always be slightly different. Sometimes the difference is caused by the company. Of course, this is, by no means, a bad things. Think this through: with different people, you get to experience exciting, novel, and tanquil Tainan with each trip. I just don't see how that can possibly be a bad thing. Of course, during this trip, there were new and old experiences mixed together. I've been to Hai-an Road before, but spending a night in an old house was definitely something new! Not to mention, a good friend was also there to accompany me through a wonderful meal.
海安路上店家眾多，但朋友卻只推薦這間。想必一定是有他的原因在。雖然我對食物的美味度不算太挑（還是更重服務態度），何況有好友相伴真的對食物就更不挑了！因此也就自然不會去想試試其他的地方了。
Many restaurants stand along the road, but my friend highly recommended this place. I was sure she had a point. I'm not really picky on food (I care more about the service). I didn't mind going anywhere, as long as I had the company of my friend. Therefore, I had absolutely no desire to try other places. 
無論是多美味的食物，美食當前，還是別忘了要多吃青菜。
No matter how delicious the food is, one must remember to eat lots of veggies.
第一道菜上桌：烤七里香。
There's a beautiful name in Chinese for this: 'Seven Li Aroma'. However, one must realise that this is actually... in reality... chickens' behind... 
這是蒜香杏鮑菇。
Garlic fried mushroom.
烤魚下巴。有我最愛的檸檬味。吃得很開心！
Grilled fish jaw. Perfect with lemon. 
烤蝦。很鮮甜！因為只有兩隻，剛好一人一支。不過如果我在貪心點的話，其實還想要再多點一份呢！
Grilled prawn. Perfectly cooked! Fresh and sweet. Would've ordered more if I could!
當然還有酒促！
You'll also find sexy ladies trying to sell their beer at these places. (Yes, they sell beer only... don't even try...)

除了魚下巴之外還是點了份一夜干。烤的恰到好處！當然還有我愛的檸檬味搭配，更美味了！
Another fish dish to end the feast. It was, once again, perfectly grilled. And, once again, came with lemon, my favourite way of having my fish!
因為有點飄雨現象，所以店家還把棚子搭了起來。想必應該也只有台北以外的地方能這樣占用人行道吧。科科～
It was somewhat sprinkly, so they pulled out the tent. These people were seated on the pedestrians' walk. I think this can only happen in places outside of Taipei.
歐對了，這地方雖稱不上「大」，但竟然還有歌手駐唱。只是他在棚子外頭唱，我們看不見他，音效好像也稍有影響。好處是，雖有人駐唱，但不至於大聲道聽不到彼此說話囉！
Oh, did I mentionabout the singer? The strange thing was that he was kind of secluded. The accoustics was affected a bit, but on the plus side, you didn't have to yell at each other to be heard.
雖然與其他間無緣，但這間我至少可以說，好吃。絕不是雷！
Although I've never tried any of the other places, I'd still say that this place was pretty satisfactory! The food's good! At least, I wasn't disappointed!

為什麼天仙能夠找到這間海鮮．鵝肉店呢？話說過年期間全家來到高雄探望外婆，結果混到晚上就想說吃個輕鬆又經濟實惠的熱炒好了！但人生地不熟的，要怎麼跳過雷區呢？這個時候，天仙就找上了大學時代的好友來幫忙啦！果然，地區給了好友夫婦，馬上就抱上這間店。其實原本沒想太多，只想要有個地方吃飯。當然他們夫婦推薦的一定好吃！不過這間店實在有點好吃到超乎我原本的預期！
How in the world did I discover a place like this? Let's turn back time to earlier this year - during Chinese New Year's, when the entire family was down at Kaohsiung to visit Granny. After our visit, we wanted to eat something relaxing, satisfying, and not too pricy. But none of us knew Kaohsiung that well. So, I called up a mate back from uni, and ask him and his wife to give us some suggestions. At first, all we wanted was a place to eat. I knew their recommendation wouldn't let me down, but the meal turned out to be way above my expectations!

不過因為地方大，所以翻桌率也算快。
Fortunately we didn't have to wait too long, as there were a lot of tables...

蛋炒飯。已經有飽了，但還是想吃！

雖然吃到最後大家都好撐，可是美食與美酒當前，沒有人忍心留下任何一丁點！拍完這張後，天仙也努力的嗑完最後一粒飯粒！
Although we were all stuffed in the end, no one could resist leaving anything behind. After taking this last shot, I also joined in and ate until there was not a grain of rice left! 

到了墾丁，找到民宿之後就迫不及待地跑出去兜風。結果我都忘了從早上到現在我都沒有吃東西！不過等真的該吃東西的時候，又餓過頭了，根本不知道該選什麼來吃。墾丁大街上吃得又那麼多，真的不知道該如何選起。最後還是衝著這間有異國啤酒而選擇了在這裡進食。
After putting my stuff down at the lodge, I couldn't wait to go exploring around Kenting. I was so excited I had forgotten that the only thing I ate that day was a tiny breakfast the hosts at Hualien prepared for me. When it came around to dinner time, I was starving! So famished that I didn't know what to eat! There were so many choices on the main street of Kenting! Too many choices! In the end, I chose a place that served exotic beer! 
店內布置得很特別。當時還不知道食物怎麼樣就是了。
The restaurant had an interesting interior. At that point, I didn't know what to expect of the food.
我當時是抱持著這樣的心情：反正食物不好吃的話，我至少還有啤酒可以喝。
But I thought: at least I had beer! So no matter how the food turned out, I'd still enjoy myself.
種類說多不多，但也不算少了！
Abundant choices of beer. Not too many, not too few.
這些啤酒實在難選！常常到最後都只能依照包裝樣式選～ 噗！
But exotic beer is so hard to choose! I often end up choosing from the design of the bottle!
倫敦熊不讓我喝～哭哭！

食物來了！我點了蛤蠣麵。味道其實還不錯！麵的軟硬度比較偏國外口感，不像台灣口味煮到軟綿綿的。
不過好不好吃是一回事。前頭說過了，因為餓過頭，所以本來吃剩四分之一時，我已經覺得很難在嚥下去下一口了。此時老闆娘見狀，便過來關心我怎麼沒吃完。是不是吃不慣？還是口味不合？甚至不好吃？我急忙解釋：很好吃！只是餓過頭了，反而覺得有點吃不下去了。
沒想到老闆娘聽到這樣，馬上去幫我到了杯水，並且說：那你慢慢吃，別急。剩幾口了，把它吃完吧。
老闆娘都這麼說了，我怎麼好意思再剩下來丟廚餘呢？
And here's my food. I had speghetti with clams. The pasta was very western - Taiwanese like it soggy. 
The food was more than fine! But that wasn't the issue. I was over-starved, so when I made it to the fourth quarter of the pasta, I couldn't continue any longer. Or so I thought. Then, the lady owner came around, and became concerned. She asked me what the matter was - was I not used to the slightly solid pasta, or was there something wrong with the food. I told her my condition, and the next thing I knew, she was off to get me a glass of water. As she placed the water on the table, she said soothingly: you've only got a few more bites left. Take it slow. It'd be a pity to leave it unfinished.
Well, how could I not try and finish the plate after that! 
最後還是把這盤啃乾淨了。
So, eventually, I finished it!
等餐點的時候，見到老闆娘的女兒（小混血兒）便跟他聊了起來。很可愛的小女生，一點都不怕生。說了一口流利的中文，卻似乎不太會英文。（孩子的母語終究還是跟著媽媽）
During the wait for my pasta, I met the daughter of the lady owner. She was a cute little girl, being a half caucasian, she spoke perfect Mandarin, and very little English. (I guess I now know the origin of the phrase 'mother tongue'!)

看到填滿塗鴉的牆壁，知道這是哪了嗎？（抬頭好像就有寫了說）沒錯！就是高雄的渡船頭海之冰！天啊！記得我上一次來這裡吃冰是大學時代了。歲月真是不饒人。不過話說最近天氣熱到爆炸，如果能來一碗冰消暑，真是太棒了不是嗎！
This ice-shop is famous not just for their ice, but also the fully graffittied walls and, well, furniture. This is the famous ice-shop in Cijin, Kaohsiung. It's right by the ferry station, not hard to find at all. The weather has been scorchingly hot lately, and wouldn't it be great if we all get to have a bowl of this to cool ourselves off??!!

在撥放下集之前，先插播午餐食記。我們到了小琉球其實也差不多該吃午餐了。因為知道午餐過後會走很多的路，又加上回程票遺失事件，真的很需要來點精神安慰。走到一條很多餐廳的路，也拿不定主意到底要吃哪一間。不過後來決定吃這間中將海鮮。有的時候旅途上遇到的人事物，總是充滿了驚喜。我們只有兩個人，來這種海鮮店點餐其實會有點麻煩。菜不能點太多種類，怕份量太多吃不完。但只點個一兩樣又吃部過癮。還好老闆很貼心。看我們只有兩個人，就跟我們建議說可以放心點想吃的，他們可以幫我們做小份的，價格也會算便宜些。就甘心。
Before posting Part II, I'd like you to take a look at our lunch first. It was already lunch time by the time we arrived. Knowing we would spend a lot of time walking in the afternoon, in addition to the incident of losing the ticket, food remedy was badly needed. We walked to a street with a lot of restaurants to choose from. We then decided to have our lunch at this restaurant. It was a great decision. Sometimes you get surprises like this during a journey. It can be quite awkward for two people to dine at a restaurant like this, as you won't get as many varieties of dishes. And only ordering one or two dishes can also be quite boring. The owner was, however, extremely kind. He suggested that we order whatever we wanted, and he would make a smaller portion for us, with a lower price for each dish, of course. 
因此我們就開心的點了我們想吃的。不料，原以為可以很盡情的吃生魚片，這天卻沒有... 哭哭！！
Therefore, we happily ordered what we wanted. Although... due to the weather during the previous few days, there were no raw fish for me...

It was a very satisfying meal! And after this, we were ready to go on!
