天仙已經很少這麼有效率的前一天才吃完,隔天就寫食記。到底是什麼魔力讓天仙突然這麼有效率?答案是:泰國菜!

It's been a while since I've been this motivated - to write a food review right after the night of the meal. So what's with this efficiency this time? The answer is - Thai food.

因為年初的時候不小心失約了這群朋友兩次。朋友表示為了讓我贖罪,就讓我來安排一次泰國菜的聚餐。也行啊!不過這群人都是很國際化的,不可能用瓦X去打發他們。也不可能用我平常愛吃的平價料理打發。但苦惱,到底要怎麼找到地的味道?上網找了找,發現了這間。據說是泰國飲食集團S&P來台開設的。光是這一點就讓天仙覺得可以去嘗試一下。我可是抱持著很大的期望去的!

As a compensation for not showing up to two gatherings in a row, I was asked to arrange a Thai dinner for them. It was quite a challenge, because these friends were very internationalized. I couldn't take them to that notable franchise and hope that they'd be satisfied with that. I couldn't just take them to my casual Thai place, either. But how in the world could I find an authentic Thai place? I found this place through web search. Apparently, it's run by a Thai food chain - S&P. I guess that's enough reason to give it a try. I was there with extremely high expectations!

櫃台斜前方貼心擺設了舒適的座位,若有需要可以小歇一下。

There's seating in front of the counter, in case you need to wait for friends or wait for your table to be ready.

店內裝潢感覺還不錯。不會特別奇怪。燈光我覺得也剛剛好。

The interior design was alright. Not too fancy. the lighting was also just right.

原本很開心地看到有大象啤酒(Beer Chang)結果店家說沒有了。只好喝老味道。

I was quite excited to see Beer  Chang on the drink list, but unfortunately they were out. So it's the same old Singha Beer.

第一道上桌的是涼拌青木瓜絲。泰文發音叫"som tam"。

First up, is som tam, I'm sure many are familiar with this.

這一道大家應該不陌生:打拋雞肉(其實豬肉的也可但我不吃豬肉所以~~)

Krapao Gai (fried chicken with basil leaves) is another familiar and popular dish.

蝦醬空心菜,其實就是為了要讓大家吃點青菜。

菜都是由天仙點的,不過真的令我挺傷腦筋的。因為好多菜我都好想吃喔!但我們只有五個人,食量也都不算太大。只好做些取捨。

I took charge of ordering the food. But it was quite a difficult task, as there were so many I wanted to try (that can't be found in other places). But there were only five of us, so I had to be careful with what I order.

湯的部分因為大家比較熟悉的是"tom yam koong"(酸辣鮮蝦湯),所以天仙這次特別介紹另一種風味:"tom kha gai"『冬佧該』(椰漿酸辣雞湯)

Everyone is familiar with the shrimp "tom yam", so I decided to let my friends try something else: tom kha - which has cocoanut milk in the soup.

雞肉沙嗲(也有豬肉)一定要沾醬吃才好吃 Chicken satay, do try it with the sauce!

剛好這張有拍到飯。(泰國菜的正確吃法是用湯匙叉子,筷子只有吃中國菜或麵的時候會用)

You can see the rice in this picture. The way Thai people usually eat is with spoon and fork. Chopsticks are used for Chinese food and noodles.

不喜歡吃辣的人一定會喜歡這個!Those who can't take spicy food will surely enjoy this.

不過最令人開心的還是這道「糯米芒果」甜點。天仙不太懂,這是一到再簡單也不過的泰式甜點,可是這間卻是我頭一次在台灣吃到正宗的「糯米芒果」。冰淇淋我是可以接受(反正不喜歡就不要吃),但你把這道做成其他的樣子,他就不是「糯米芒果」了!(其實只要有泰國糯米、椰奶、芒果...就好了!)

The most exciting thing of all was that they served 'mango sticky rice"! I don't understand. It's one of the most straight-forward, easy to make desserts of all Thai desserts. But this is the first time I've actually seen a place do it right. I can stand the ice cream, because you can just leave it if you don't want it. But there should just be mango, cocoanut milk, and sticky rice! It's not the same thing if you make it any other way!

天仙念:天仙覺得如果你喜歡泰國正宗的酸辣味,可以要求店家做辣一點。這次吃的店家沒有詢問辣度,所以default應該是大家都可接受的小辣。除了不夠辣之外(但同桌的不是每個都能吃辣)其他天仙覺得都還不錯,真心誠意的推薦給大家!他就在微風廣場的正對面。

They didn't ask me how spicy we wanted our food. Other than the fact that it wasn't spicy enough for me, everything else basically met my expectations. Do remember to ask them to make it spicier if that's how you like it!
