Remember the meal on my flight over to Manchester? (published in this article)  It was so delicious that once I'd had a bite, I'd forgot about all the tears I shed over saying farewell to my loved ones.  Well, this time, I thought the meal would just be as good.  After all, I've always had pleasant experiences with Thai Airways.  I mean, what other airline is capable of offering the comfort from my second home other than this one?  Well, so I thought.

不知道大家還記不記得新航機餐一文中提到說飛到曼城那趟機餐有多麼好吃。好吃到我才吃一口，就忘了不到半小時前才哭哭啼啼的跟心愛的人告別。這次我以為機餐也會很棒。畢竟以前多次飛過泰航從來沒有過不好的經驗，再說，有什麼比泰航還要更適合這次回程的航空公司呢？不過，事實並非完全如我想像。

Apologies for the blurry-ness, but this was the dinner on the way to Bangkok.  This wasn't bad, actually.  I really enjoyed the 'garlic and herbs' cheese.  But I have to say, this route actually made me feel a little disappointed with the service that they provide.  If I had only been on this route, I wouldn't feel confident in recommending it to others, well, not as I used to anyway.  The plane was old, but I suppose that has more to do with luck.  The service was 'alright' instead of 'great'.  That, is something they should improve. 

雖然有點模糊，不過應該還看得到。這就回程的第一餐。雖然不算難吃，但我總對泰航的期望高一些。左邊有塊大蒜起司非常好吃，其他就普普通通。但這個航班讓我更失望的地方是飛機很舊就算了，有時這也得碰運氣，但服務沒有以往好倒是真的！



The breakfast was the worst of all.  I understand the mushroom and the tomato for breakie, but I don't get the samosa and the 'spring roll(?)... How is this 'breakfast' food... I suppose I was really annoyed because it wasn't even tasty.  I think I had a bite of each, and gave up.  The croissant was a lot more enjoyable.

這早餐是三餐中最糟糕的。蘑菇跟番茄我懂。傳統英式早餐就會有。不過samosa跟長得像春捲的東東我實在搞不懂。怎麼會有人吃這個當早餐！？我想我最不滿意的地方是他們一點都不好吃。各吃一口後我就放棄了。但牛角麵包倒是挺不錯。

After that, I had a two-hour stop-over at Bangkok.  I couldn't really do much there, as I don't have any of my friends' phone numbers, no credit card on me nor baht coins to make calls.  This is the reason why it bothered me so much when I knew my stop-over was at Bangkok! Because I'm there, but I'm not! If you see what I mean...

之後，再曼谷逗留了兩小時。但我什麼都不能做。我朋友們的電話都沒再身上。即使有，我也沒有信用卡或泰株可以打電話給他們。所以當初知道要停留曼谷我才會這麼的百感交集呀。因為我到了等於沒到呀！



Finally, this was dinner on the way back to Taipei.  Not sure what it was, but at least it was rather delicious.  I enjoyed this meal more than the previous two, but with the exception of the garlic cheese spread.  I loved that. 

這當是從曼谷飛回台北的那一道晚餐。雖然不知道到底是什麼，但是其實挺好吃的。這一餐其實比前面兩餐好吃很多。雖然第一餐的大蒜起司實在也很棒...

Well, this seemingly meaning less article actually has a function.  It's my way of telling you all that I'm now safely home in Taiwan, waiting for a new chapter of my life to be written.  I'm sure if you juxtaposed this one, with the previous inflight meal article, you will be able to sense a dramatic difference in tone.  I can't deny how much I miss the UK already.  Neither am I going to deny how sad I was when I left it.  But in the end, I felt 'going home' was a necessary step to the completion of this part of my life.  I am here now, at the end of this chapter, and the new one will soon begin.

這看似無意義的文章，其實是有目的的。我利用這個方式告訴大家我目前已經平安回到台灣，正等待人生中下一個章節的編寫。若是你同時比較新航與泰航這兩篇文章，相信你會很明顯發現兩篇文中的心情實在落差很大。我非常想念英國的一切。我也不否認我離開時是多麼的不捨。但我後來知道回家，是這段歷程的必經之路。現在我回到了這兒，也期待著，下一章的發展。
