To Women

Women of this audacious age,
Do not cover up thy confidence
With veils made by suppressors,
Who claim the purpose of liberation,
Yet speaks the lie of the cunning Serpent.

Temptation is his motto.
Repression is his ultimate goal.
Awake not!  You foolish beings.
Continue breathing for the purpose of breeding.
Let this be a lesson to be learned
Right now.
Immediately.

Cover up what was meant to be shown
Only to the intimate love.
I beseech you not to feel compelled
To enter this competition
Of carnal vanity.

Discard all unnecessary possessions
And hear the words of the wise one.
Be learned.
Be wise.

Listen not to those who speak
As though they understand
What it's like to be us.
We are what we are,
Nothing else.

But by all means,
Do not
Suppress your beloved ones.
For some deserve to be looked up to.
T'is our individuality,
And not our natural gender that prevails.

Understand the boundaries
Of our biological build up.
But do not let that be
An excuse to curse our counterparts.

For they can be loving and kind
To us all the same.
Though only a few
Can master the art
Of loving a gem as rare
As each one of us is.

And if they know not how,
Then do not fear.
For you yourself possess
The power to love
Yourself
As who you are -
A descendant of Eve,
A loving mother,
A sensible daughter -
A woman.
