This was a very special meal. What was special about it, was not because the food was extraordinarily delicious, although it was pretty good. But it was because this was a reunion with a friend who we have not seen for more than ten years... 

這是一個很特別的一餐。原因倒不是因為餐點特別好吃（雖然還不錯）。而是因為這次見面的，是一位十年以上沒見到面的朋友。




According to my parents, we have known each other way before we became classmates. But that didn't matter. Once a friend, always a friend. Didn't matter how long you know someone. If you consider someone a friend, you can lose contact for years, but he or she will always have a place in your memory. 

根據錢爸錢媽的說法，其實我們再成為同學之前就認識了。不過認識多久不是重點。只要是朋友，就永遠都是朋友。他在回憶中永遠都保有一席之地。

The benefit of being a third culture kid, is that you have friends from all over the world. No matter where you go, chances are, you will have at least one friend in the country you are heading. The problem with this, however, is that once you go your separate ways, you may never see each other ever again. This is the reason why whenever we hear that someone is within a reasonable range for meeting in person, we'd go the whole nine yards to make the reunion possible. 

當第三文化小孩最大的好處就是世界各地都有朋友。不過壞處就是，一旦離別，你也有可能永遠都不會再見面。所以只要接收到消息，再成為第三文化小孩過程中所遇到的朋友在能夠見面的距離範圍內應會想盡辦法的安排碰面。

The idea of brunch was a brilliant idea. It was leisurely, and completely free of pressure. 

早午餐的提議，實在是再適合也不過了！因為毫無壓力，非常的輕鬆。

It's alway nice to chat about old times, and catch up on the present with old friends. It brings you right down memory lane, and then the present. The feeling is indesribable. 

跟老朋友談天說地總是特別歡樂。可以聊過去也可以聊未來。這種感覺起是簡單幾句話可以形容的？



The restaurant helped to create a cozy atmosphere for brunch. 

這間餐廳剛好也製造了適合輕鬆聊天的氣氛。



Despite the hustle and bustle, the service was still decent. 

雖然忙碌，但是服務不減分。
