【食記】The Library Café－il Giardino Romantico

除了週一到週五24小時開放、隨時想念書都找的到位子這兩點就足以讓我超愛Sydney Jones圖書館之外，我又找到一項讓我更愛他的原因了！有看到我的介紹就會發現，圖書館的角落有這麼一間café。不過我一直都不敢進去。以為會很貴。直到我同學告訴我他再這點了一份土司跟一杯茶只要£1.30，我才鼓起勇氣進去瞧瞧、一探究竟。

Other than the fact that the library opens 24hrs on weekdays, and the fact that you can ALWAYS find a seat if you wanted to study, I've just found another reason to love the library even more - the Library Café!! I knew about this café before, but didn't have enough courage to come in and try. One day, my MA mate told me about how she got a piece of toast and a cup of tea here for only £1.30, I finally took the courage and come here and see what it's all about.

點餐吧。

第一次來光顧的時候，也是點一份土司跟熱茶。看到menu上面寫著有素食早餐，我又經不起誘惑的找了一天來嘗試。雖然上面寫£2.99，可是我點餐時，服務人員一直問我要什麼。我不敢點太多，一方面怕吃不完、另外一方面又怕超出預算太多。而我又不好意思問太多。到最後在盤子上的就變成這付模樣：

The first time I came, I ordered the piece of toast and hot tea. But I saw on the menu that they had veggie breakfast. Well, there was not a chance I was not going to try that! Not after my breakfast experience at the Egg! However, even though the menu said £2.99, the lady kept on asking what I wanted. I didn't want to order too much, in case I couldn't finish it, and in case I had to pay over what I had anticipated to. Since I was also afraid of giving the lady too much trouble by asking too many questions, this was what my breakfast plate turned out to be like:

素香腸、番茄、薯餅。外加熱茶一杯。
Two veggie sausages, tomato, and hashbrown. And we musn't forget the cup of tea.

結果吃的超滿足的。這裡的素香腸吃起來有點像家了蔬菜跟香料的米腸。很容易就吃飽了。薯餅也脆脆的，相當好吃！誰說圖書館只是和唸書呢？現在圖書館也能享用好吃的餐點呢！而且那素香腸呀，是當場為我現烤，我等了十分鐘才吃到的喔！！

It was marvelously delicious. The veggie sausages had a very unique taste to them. Seems to me like sticky rice with veggies and spice. The hashbrown was very crispy as well. Who said one could only 'study' or 'read' in a library? Now, you can EAT in the library café! Those sausages, by the way, were prepared on the spot for me! I had to wait 10 mins for them!
