這群人在等什麼呢？當然是除夕當天最受矚目的舞龍舞獅表演囉！

What is the crowd waiting for?  The answer is the most popular even of the day - the dragon dance!

節目單上說11:30開始，可是我跟大家一樣乖乖的站在這等了好久好久都不見龍的身影。為什麼我會這麼想看呢？除了要當個稱職的『駐利物浦記者』要拍照之外，其實我自己無論是在清邁或是在台灣過年好像都沒親眼看過舞龍舞獅呀！所以聽說中國城有這個活動，我怎麼能輕易放過這難得的機會呢？

The program said the dragon dance commences at 11:30, but I waited, just like everyone else, for a long time and still did not even catch a glimpse of the dragon.  Why was I so looking forward to seeing the dragon dance?  Other than the fact that I felt obligated to take pictures of the event for family and friends back home to see, it was also because I, myself, had never ever, in my entire life, whether in Chiang Mai or in Taiwan, seen a live dragon dance!  When I heard about this event, I knew I couldn't allow myself to miss this opportunity.

不過龍還沒看到，卻先看到了財神爺！

But before the dragon appeared, I met the god of wealth!



他本來只發給小朋友的。He was only handing out red envelopes to little kids at first.



然後他看到了我。Then he saw me.



大概是破例吧！也發了個紅包給我！And he gave me one as well!



本來以為裡頭只有糖果，但打開後發現：真！的！有！錢！！I had expected a candy inside, but when I opened it up, I found a COIN, too!



也在等舞龍的孩子。He was waiting for the dragon as well.



穿著應景的唐裝孩子。Little kid in Chinese outfit.  Very festive!

後來我等的不耐煩了！因為下午要看球賽，球賽看完就要直接去餐廳吃飯。所以只有看完舞龍舞獅可以回家洗澡換衣服準備來吃年夜飯。我怕我等到時間來不及，就趕緊跑去『追龍』。還好有去追他！因為真的被我找到了。

I was getting impatient waiting for the dragon to come my way.  I could not afford to wait for it much longer, for we had plans to go watch the derby so I had very limited time to go home, shower, change, and prepare for derby and dinner, which was right after the football game.  Instead of waiting for it to come to me, I went to it!

























我想一般的人是不能夠『追龍』的！因為我要回家的路上，龍竟然追上我來了！

I don't think you're allowed to 'go after the dragon'.  Because on the way home, the dragon caught up with me!

因為這段影片，舉龍珠的那位小帥哥竟然透過Youtube找到我的影片並連絡上我了！並還邀請我入會。如果不是基於留學經費有限，我可能真的會參加耶！下面有他們的官方網址，有興趣的可以點過去看看。

I have, once again, experienced something new for the first time in my life!
