I must admit I have double standards. By the time I left Liverpool, I had thrown my strict vegetarian diet out the window, because my time in the UK was so limited, I thought 'I simply HAD TO try the authentic English breakfast!' So, I did.

我得承認我有雙重標準。離開利物浦之後,我把我原本嚴苛的素食主義拋到了腦後,決定利用謹慎的兩個禮拜好好享受道地的美食。我不能夠在離開英國前還沒嚐過真正的『英式早餐』!於是,我就點了非素食,正統的英式早餐。

Sausage, bacon, egg, baked beans, toast, and hash brown. The first five are the most essential parts of an authentic English breakfast. The hash brown is sometimes omitted or replaced with mushrooms and/or baked tomatoes. 

香腸、培根、蛋、烤豆子、吐司、以及薯餅。前面五項是最基本的部份。不過有的時候薯餅不會出現。代替的有可能是蘑菇或/和烤番茄。

But the most quintessential part of all English breakfasts, is the tea that goes with it. No English breakfast is complete without a cuppa tea.

不過最重要的還是那一杯茶。少了這一杯,無論是在道地,都不能稱上是正統的『英式早餐』!

 天仙念:豆子常常是地雷。不過大部分我吃過的都還算不錯。(我知道有很多人不喜歡~)
