即使不是基督徒，也一定要來瞧瞧全歐洲最大教堂之一的Anglican Cathedral。如果天氣好點，更可以加購爬上頂端的門票（放心！這座教堂有電梯，不用爬太大）。假設有緣，也可安排聽聽service中所演奏的管風琴詩歌。

來到利物浦，不可以不知道咱們有兩隻球隊。一藍一紅。不過藍色的Everton幾乎都是當地人在支持。像我們這種外地來的，幾乎都是支持LFC較多。若你還不認識這支球隊，那說到Fernando Torres 托雷斯（本人老公！！）你不可能不知道吧！？！？總之，若是無緣看球賽，也可以考慮參加Anfield Tour。讓導遊帶你走走球員專區，想像一下自己也是球員，過過乾癮囉！

5. The Best Restaurant in Liverpool is Vegetarian
利物浦有很多好吃的。不過若要選一間最有特色的，我還是會選這間不賣葷食的The Egg Cafe。他的食物真的是好吃。料多實在。連葷食者都會覺得好吃（也吃得飽）。正在旅遊的你，或是過著窮學生生活的你，不仿來這邊添飽肚子再上路吧！

利物浦市區的地標，除了前述兩座教堂之外，另外一座大地標應該就屬這St. George's Hall了！如果您是搭火車，只要一出Liverpool Lime Street 車站眼前即可瞧見這壯觀的建築物。更妙的是，裡面有開放參觀！我想這是許多人不會去注意到的。所以特別提出！

7. 其他文藝相關活動

利物浦在2008年獲選為歐洲文化首都。天仙抵達時正好有趕上年底那波文化潮流。不過這項都市更新計畫已經讓利物浦改頭換面，不再像Ｎ年前給人那種鳥不生蛋的印象了！利物浦有自己的音樂廳。雖然跟兩廳院的規模比起來還是差很多，不過品質是不錯的。如果持有學生證，可以購買五鎊的門票（任選位子）。其他就是下列連結中有介紹的 1. 免費逛到爽的Walker Art Gallery。這間包你可以逛到很滿足。（因為不用錢）2. Everyman 除了各式各樣的舞台劇之外，附設的Bistro也是廉價又好吃的餐廳！（其實還有另一間The Playhouse也是不定期會有舞台劇的演出！）

利物浦就位於Mersey河旁，所以沒道理來到利物浦不來看看河邊景色呀。除了Albert Dock之外，The Three Graces也是河邊的著名地標（這裡地標還真多啊！）另外你也可選擇兩種不同的方式暢遊河邊。一種是水陸通吃的黃色鴉鴉艇，另一種當然就是渡輪啦！

利物浦一共有三間較大的學校：University of Liverpool, Liverpool John Mores 和 Liverpool Hope. （有獎徵答：請問天仙念的是哪一間！！）總之，今天天仙要來賣個瓜，當然要說自己的這間好在哪兒。看看校園就知道，為什麼天仙這一年下來可以玩到不亦樂乎，樂不思蜀。當然以觀光者的角度，當然不可能去潛入圖書館之類的地方。但天仙介紹你兩個不用學生證也可以進去的地方：適合喝下午茶或咖啡以及觀賞展覽的維多利亞畫廊，和非常英國風的pub - The Cambridge。

10. Pub crawling  
既然前面提到pub，那麼第十點當然就要提一下天仙的最愛。利物浦是個不大也不小的城市。喜歡夜生活但又怕治安問題的人，就最適合來利物浦玩個徹底的！因為這裡呀，pub很多，而且非常聚集。所以無論你是喜歡在下午或傍晚小酌一兩杯，喜歡在pub裡看球賽的氣氛，或是晚上做個夜貓子想玩通宵又怕不安全，利物浦的pub們都可以符合你的需求。相信離你住的地方不遠處，就有一間不錯的pub啦！

Remember Easter, 2009? This was where I came to observe the Easter service. [Read More] The Anglican Cathedral is the largest Cathedral in the UK, and the fifth largest in the world. As I found out later during my final days in the UK, you simply can't go into a massive cathedral like this without climbing to its top and take a peek at the view from above. This is exactly what I did.
記得2009年的復活節嗎？當時就是來這裡參加復活節儀式的。［閱讀舊文］這間教堂是全英國最大的教堂。也是世界第五大的教堂。在我離開英國之前有機會得知，像這種大教堂，如果你沒有爬上最頂端從上面看下來，你根本就是白來了。所以我當然要在離開利物浦前趕快爬上去一下！

I hope you had all enjoyed that last article on pubs. This time, we're going to move further away from the campus of the University of Liverpool and take a look at some other pubs. Obviously, these are not the ONLY pubs I've been to, nor are they the ONLY ones worth showing. There are a plethora more that are worth visiting, including, of course, The Cavern.  I just happened to have taken photos of these places. 
希望大家對上篇介紹pub的文章還滿意。這次我們要離利大校園更遠，看看更多不同的pub。不過請記得唷，這些當然不是唯一在利物浦有趣的地方。也更不是這些才夠看頭。還有許多更多的（包括The Cavern）。不過這些正好是我有照片可以跟大家分享的pub。

Ship and Mitre has a different atmosphere than any of the previously discussed pubs. Although I have only been here twice, it has become one of my all-time favourites. 
這間與其他的氣氛不太一樣。因此雖然我只來過兩次，但他已成為我最喜歡的pub之一了。

These two are also very interesting places to have fun in. Because it's usually extremely crowded during Friday and Saturday nights, we usually go there if we happen to be out on week nights. I guess that's the biggest advantage of being students.
這兩間氣氛也都很特別。我們也很喜歡去。不過通常到了周末一定會塞滿人。所以我們還是極少在週末的晚上光顧。這就是當學生的好處吧～
 
The Phil
I have to be honest with you - I had never had a drink here. It is ALWAYS crowded with people. But I have been inside, and I do agree when people say this is one of the many must do things while in Liverpool. 
我得承認這間我的確沒在裡面喝過。因為他總是很擁擠。不過我有進去過，也同意別人說的：這是你來利物浦必須要做的事情之一！
 
Ye Cracke
This is probably the jewel of the crown among pubs. Not because it's posh, and certainly not because it's special. But because it's so ordinary, it is so 'English'. No music loud music, no footy. Perfect for a pint and a quiet chat to wind down the day, or the week. 
這間應該可以算是精華裡的精華了。不是因為他很豪華，更不是因為他很特別。但就是因為他如此的平凡，顯的他更＂當地＂。這裡沒有吵雜的音樂，也沒有運動賽事的轉播。很適合與好友小酌一兩杯，閒聊近況，放鬆心情。

Drink Responsibly 
開車勿飲酒、飲酒勿開車。
I often say to people who wish to befriend the locals (and this was also said to me before my own arrival), that there are two essential factors that would help formulate a bond between you and your British friend - football and drinks. People in the UK, not just England, love to drink. But the culture of drinking is so different from that of Taiwan. Many deem drinking to be an immoral conduct because of how the media and TV programmes present drinking culture. In reality, those with a superior status, either in the domestic or social sense, often challenge their subordinates into drinking to prove their loyalty or respect for them. Peers also use drinking as a way of 'saving face'. This is the reason why people, even those who enjoy their drinks, are often held back from going out. 
我常常跟別人說，想跟英國當地的人交朋友，有兩個關鍵（事實上別人也曾對我說過類似的話），那就是：足球跟酒。英國人，不只是英格蘭人，都很喜歡喝酒，可是文化上與台灣的差距很大。許多人覺得喝酒是壞事。因為我們的媒體跟電視就是這樣呈現喝酒文化。實際上，長輩、上司，也很喜歡以酒量來衡量一個人對自己的尊敬與忠心。朋友間也喜歡以酒量來顧面子。這也是為什麼大家會開始對＂應酬＂產生反感。
In the UK, however, and most probably in the whole of the west, people drink to relax, enjoy, and socialise. Few will exert pressure onto you while you drink. You have the freedom to drink at your own pace, and the freedom to choose what you want to drink. This is the reason why I enjoyed the pub culture in the UK so much. Because despite the fact that most people are already under the impression that I'm an alcoholic, the fact of the matter is, I despise being forced into drinking to prove anything.
不過在英國，或甚至整個西方文化裡，喝酒是爲了要放鬆以及與朋友交際。非常少數會在你的酒量上施壓。你可以依照自己喜歡的速度喝，也可以自由選擇自己想要喝什麼。這就是為什麼我會這麼喜歡英國的pub文化。雖然許多人早已把我定位為＂酒鬼＂，但事實上我是非常討厭強迫性的喝酒的。
This article, as well as the next, will hopefully fulfil the curiosity of those who wish to know what pubs in the UK are like. But more importantly, they are fragments of memories that are securely locked deep down in my heart. 
希望此篇文章，以及下一篇即將刊登的，能滿足大家對於英國pub的相貌的好奇心。不過最重要的還是，這些都鎖在我心裡最深處的快樂回憶。
 
 
Fly in the Loaf
 
Fly in the Loaf is an old building, refurbished from an old bakery. Some of the furniture and parts of the building have been retained, which gives the pub a retro kind of atmosphere. The pricing may be a bit high compared to others, but they do have a lot of imported beer.
Fly in the Loaf的建築看起來很古老。事實上是從一間麵包店改裝。有些桌椅擺設以及內部裝潢甚至保留至今。雖然價錢比起其他間顯得有點貴，但他們確實是有提供許多異國啤酒。

This was a day during my last days in Liverpool. Being a city by the Mersey River, it just didn't make sense to leave without getting a tour on the river itself. It was a great finale to my stay in Liverpool.  I suggest that all visitors to Liverpool also find a chance to try it out. Find a nice day (I know it's difficult), hop on the ferry, and see the side of Liverpool that you can only see on a boat.  
這是我再利物浦最後那一週的活動之一。這城市就在河旁。沒道理離開前不去坐一下渡輪暢遊一下。這也將我在利物浦的日子畫了個圓滿的句點。我也強烈推薦各位到利物浦的遊客一定要找機會體驗一下。找個天氣不錯的一天（雖然很難），跳上渡輪，看看不上船看不到的利物浦景色。

I had one extra week in Liverpool, after I got kicked out of my halls.  This was where I spend my last week.  It was quite an interesting experience. As I've heard from other visitors to the city, that the quality is quite satisfactory, and the price is affordable, too, I decided this was the place to end my days in Liverpool.
宿舍租約到期後我還有一個禮拜的時間要在利物浦。我就是在這裡度過我在利物浦的最後時光。這個經驗非常的有趣。之前聽過其他拜訪利物浦的友人說，服務不錯，價錢也合哩，就決定在這裡結束我在利物浦的日子。
I was assigned to a five-bed room. These are the bunks.
這是一間五人房。這邊是上下舖。
Because I was going to stay for one whole week, I decided to settle in this little corner - a big mistake because the bed made so much noise, and I always came home late, and woke up early... A big sorry to my roommates.
由於要住上一整週，我決定在角落的單人床舖定下來。後來才知道這是一個極大的錯誤，因為這個床實在有夠吵。然後那一整週我又是每天早出晚歸。實在很對不起那幾天的室友啊～
The shower is decent. Except the automatic lighting system that shuts off every five minutes. The sensor is not very sensitive, and during my shower, I have to open the shower door and wave to it every few minutes. 
沐浴設備還不錯。只是燈會自動斷電。然後感應器又不是很敏感，所以每過幾分鐘就要把沐浴門打開，向燈輝揮手才能夠再繼續洗澡。囧！
Staying in hostels is an interesting experience in that it is a great way to meet people from all walks of life. Well, not quite 'all walks', but pretty interesting people. Some hostels will arrange events for their guests so they can socialise and meet new people.  
住在hostel最有趣的部份就是可以認識各式各樣的人們。有些hostel會像這間一樣，安排不一樣的活動，增加房客的互動，認識新朋友。
This is the kitchen. Free for all guests to use. You can even leave your own food in here, but do remember to label your stuff, and not to take others' food. The tea and coffee, however, is provided by the hostel.
這是廚房。房客都可以自由使用。也可以放自己的食物在這裡。不過記得要貼上標籤（不然會被丟掉）。也要記得不要偷吃別人的東西唷！不過茶跟咖啡就可以自由飲用囉。
 
Staying in a hostel teaches you the experience of how to respect other people.  Even if you absolutely need to be a pain, you learn to keep that pain to a minimum. It also teaches you to tolerate annoyances created by others. Really boosts your patiences. This is the reason why I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel.
住在hostel的經驗可以交你如何尊重別人。即使你情非得已必須要去作一些會干擾到別人的事情，你也會學習如何將這些干擾降到最低。同時，你也會學習到如何去忍受別人所創造的困擾。真的可以訓練自己的耐心。這也是為什麼我真的還蠻喜歡在這裡度過的日子。

The Three Graces are three historical buildings at the site of the Pier Head.  These three buildings, namely, are Port of Liverpool Building, Cunard Building, and Royal Liver Building.
碼頭這邊一共有三棟歷史性的建築物。這三棟分別是：Port of Liverpool Building[碼頭大樓]、Cunard Building [卡納大樓]以及Royal Liver Building[皇家利物大樓]。(以上名稱皆是天仙亂翻的，並非官方譯名...)
Port of Liverpool Building
The building was constructed from 1903 to 1907.  It is now grade II of listed buildings.  Designed in Edwardian Baroque style, it is noted for its ornamental details.  The building was partially destroyed by the Blitz in WWII.  Restoration of the building began in 2005, and have only just completed in 2009.  It may possibly open to public soon.
這棟於1903至1907年完工。目前列為二級歷史性建築物。外觀採用愛德華巴洛克隔的設計並以華麗以及精緻的建築裝飾聞名。第二次世界大戰中德軍的空襲造成局部毀損。不過2005年開始重建工程，並於2009年完工。近日內也將可能開放給大眾入內參觀。
The Royal Liver Building is a Grade I of listed buildings.  The most notable feature of the building is the two liverbirds sitting atop the two towers.  The tale goes, the one looking out at the port is the female, who makes sure that all the ships arrive at port safe and sound; the one looking into the city is the male, who is keeping an eye on the pubs in town, making sure they are open.  Legend also has it, that if these two liverbirds fly away, Liverpool will cease to exist. 
這棟大樓屬一級歷史性建築物。而最醒目的特色當然是在建築物上兩個塔上的兩隻利物鳥。傳說中，向外看的那一隻是母的。母鳥俯瞰著港口，確保船隻平安到港。而向著市區的那一隻則是公的。他望著市區內，確保著城內的pub都有按時營業。還有另外一個說法是，這兩隻鳥飛走的那一天，利物浦將會從此消失。
 
Cunard Building was constructed in 1914 to 1916.  Like the Port of Liverpool Building, it is Grade II of listed buildings.  It used to be the home of the Cunard Line, but today, it is home to various public and private sector organisations.
卡納大樓建於1914至1916。就像碼頭大樓一樣，這一棟也是二級歷史建築物。原本是卡納海線公司的所在地。不過今天，他以開放承租給各種公家以及私人機關使用。
These three historical buildings make up UNESCO world heritage site of the Pier Head.  Across from these gorgeous landmarks of Liverpool, sits the new Mersey Ferry terminal, where you can board the ferry and take a tour along the Mersey River. 
這三棟建築物歸屬於UNESCO世界遺產。在這三棟分別具有不同特色的建築物對面，就是剛成立不久的Mersey渡輪站。想要搭船遊Mersey河，了解更多關於港口對利物浦的歷史，可以到這裡買票上船。

Albert Dock是一個複合了港區建築物以及倉庫的半封閉式碼頭。這個地區容納了全英國同區最多Grade 1 listed buildings的地區。Albert Dock的歷史可追溯到1837年。因為他封閉式的設計，使得安全性來說高出許多。也因此在第二次世界大戰時期常被用來儲存白蘭地、棉花、茶、絲、象牙以及糖等物資。碼頭管理者在大戰之後曾一度遇到財物危機。許多被炸彈毀損的建築物遲遲沒有重建的計畫。一直到了一九八一年，才漸漸的改為今日所見風貌。
Albert Dock is a complex of dock buildings and warehouses.  Together, they comprise the largest single collection of Grade 1 listed buildings in the UK.  The history of the dock dates back to 1837.  The enclosed design gave it more security and as a result of that, it became popular for the storage of brandy, cotton, tea, silk, tobacco, ivory, and sugar cargoes during World War II.  After the war, the owners of the docks faced a financial crisis.  Plans for redevelopment of the dock finally took place at around 1981, and eventually shaped into the Albert Dock that we see today.

Mersey河旁有許多壯觀的建築物。除了Albert Dock裡的兩間博物館之外，披頭四故事館也為於此區。無論是對在地利物浦居住的居民或者是來觀光旅遊的遊客，都是一個很不錯的觀光休閒地點。若是選在天氣好的一天，可以看到的景色特別美。但若不是大晴天，可千萬要記得穿個防風衣。因為一到碼頭，可是風很大的，會涼呢！
There are a lot of spectacular buildings by the Mersey.  Other than the two museums inside the dock area, The Bealtes Story is also situated around this area.  For both local Liverpudlians and visitors alike, the area along the Mersey is a great choice for chilling out and a top sight seeing destination.  Pick a day when the weather's agreeable, and you'll see the most gorgeous view of the Mersey.  But if the weather's not so nice, remember to bring a windproof jacket, as it can get really windy.
