This may not seem to be a special pub, but to some, it is. I choose to end the Canterbury entries with the Dolphin, because even until today, I recall the fun we had that night. 
從外表似乎看不出有什麼特別的，不過對某些人來說它卻是。用這篇來做坎特伯里系列的結為是因為我至今還能回想到那天晚上在這裡度過的歡樂時光。

Here's how the game goes. You team up with someone, and you have to try and make them say the word on top, Charm, for instance. While you're giving out hints and clues, the list of words at the bottom are the words you're not suppose to say. That night I discovered that my training as an English teacher really helped my convey my ideas, but I'm not really good at guessing... 
這個遊戲或許大家有在電影／電視中看過，是這樣玩的：兩個人一組，一個人要試圖讓另外一個人講出最上面那個字，例：Charm。但提示中不可以講出任何他下列的那些字。當晚我發現教了幾年英文，真的對這遊戲挺有幫助的！不過輪到我猜的時候，還是很吃力。哈哈！

I thought I had finished the Canterbury entries, but it turned out, there are still a couple of things I wanted to share. This is one of them - the European Food Festival. I think it's an annual event, held in fall. It is festivals like this that really makes one enjoy the UK even more! 
原以為坎特伯里的故事已經講完了，翻翻照片才發現還有幾樣東西想要跟大家分享。這個歐洲美食祭就是其中一個。這種活動啊，我想就是令我更喜歡英國的原因之一呢！（明明pub才是主因.... ）

Remember this cute photo from the London Paddington series? Well, this article is going to show you the 'behind-the-scenes'. Although, the time difference between this top photos and the ones you are about to see are almost a year apart, still, that doesn't affect anything, does it?
還記得這張可愛的圖片嗎？這篇文章就是要來讓大家瞧瞧這「幕後花絮」。雖然上圖跟以下圖片拍攝時間相差將近一整年，不過這當然是沒有任何引響的啦！

不過在正式切入主題之前，先來看看另外一個會吸引你目光的有趣景象！就是這個小小的門！

如果你見過我，也知道我長多「高」，你就會知道這門到底有多小啦！（讓我想到泰瑞... 他應該會卡住吧！？）

It's a crooked house! 好「不正」的房子啊！！！
As you can see from the inscription on the building, it is formerly known as 'The Old King's School Shop'. The tiny doorway in the picture earlier is actually an entrance to the school. Now, the shop is name the King's English Bookshop. And let's now take a look at what there is inside!
原來呀！這間原本是一間學校附屬的書店。這學校叫做「老國王學校」。前幾張圖片看到的小小門，其實就是學校的入口之一啦！現在改名為「國王英語書店」。讓我們來瞧瞧裡面賣些什麼，順便體驗一下在歪歪的房子裡會是什麼樣的感覺呢！
If you ever visit Canterbury, this is a must see! 
如果有來坎特伯里，記得來瞧瞧這「不正」的房子喔！

Evidence of Roman civilization is ubiquitous around England. Remember Chester? That's only a tiny tip of the iceberg. Remember Bath? Well, Canterbury has a whole museum dedicated to the ancient Roman civilization on English soil. You get to learn first hand information on what life was like back in those days!
羅馬帝國文化在英國是無所不在。切斯特不就是個很好的例子？還記得巴斯嗎？不過這些都只是冰山一角。坎特伯里可是有自己的羅馬文化博物館呢！在這裡可以學到許多相關的歷史與文化！快來看看吧！

Although Chaucer's Canterbury Tales was never completed, and we never get to hear of what happens when the pilgrims reach Canterbury, it feels as if every visitor here is doing Chaucer a favour by completing the pilgrimage for the characters in his tale.
雖然喬叟的故事沒有寫完。我們也不知道故事中的朝聖者最後是有沒有成功抵達坎特伯里。當然更不知道他們抵達後發生了什麼事。不過，來到這我有種感覺：這裡的每一位旅客都在幫喬叟完成他的故事！

Construction of this Gothic architecture first began in 1070. It is probably the most well-known cathedrals in England.  Ever heard of St. Augustine? He's the first Archbishop of Canterbury cathedral. What about Thomas Beckett? Martyred because two of Henry II's men took his words literally? In fact, the pilgrims in Chaucer's Tales were traveling to Canterbury to visit Beckett's shrine in the cathedral! 
這座哥德式的大教堂是1070年開始建造。這應該是全英國最著名的大教堂了！有聽過聖奧古斯丁嗎？他就是這間主座教堂第一任的總主教。聽說過貝克特嗎？他也是在這間教堂被刺殺的！而且，喬叟故事集裡所提到的朝聖者，其實目的地就是在這間教堂裡的貝克特聖祠。

The Canterbury Tales, a collection of stories written in Middle English by the Geoffery Chaucer. Twenty-nine pilgrims gather in an inn during their pilgrimage to Canterbury. The innkeeper embarks a story telling contest, and thus the tales begin. 
坎特伯雷故事集是由喬叟以撰寫的古英文作品。故事中有二十九名朝聖者正前往著坎特伯里。旅館主人提議朝聖旅途中舉辦說故事比賽，因而有了這個故事集。
The tales I have very vague memories of myself is that of the Nun's Priest's Tale, and the Wife of Bath.
Here's the synopsis of the Nun's Priest's Tale:
This is the story of a rooster, Chanticleer, who dreams of a fox who would doom him. His wife, Pertelote assures him everything is alright, but his dreams turns out to be prognostic. Chanticleer meets the fox the next day, and is being tricked into crowing so the fox could snatch him away. During their escape, Chanticleer uses the same trick, advising the fox to scare his enemies away. Once the fox opened his jaws, Chanticleer escapes. 
Wife of Bath:
This is a tale about a knight who rapes a woman, and upon being judged, the Queen intervenes and gives him a chance to redeem. The knight is then sent out for a quest to find 'what a woman wants more than anything'. He searches for the answer, but to no avail, until he comes across a hag who agrees to help him. The knight returns to the Queen and tells her that women wants sovereignty over their husband the most. The Queen, happy with this answer, frees him, but he has to marry the hag in return for her help. The knight becomes really unhappy and tells his wife it is because she is ugly. The wife gives him a choice between ugly but faithful and beautiful but unfaithful. The knight gives the choice to his wife, and the hag becomes fair and faithful. 
其中我最記得的兩個故事是「僧侶」以及「巴斯婦人」的故事。
僧侶的故事：
故事描述一隻叫Chanticleer的公雞。有晚夢見他被他的狐狸敵人抓走。他老婆Pertelote安撫他說一切都沒事，只不過是場夢。沒想到這夢的預言成真！隔天狐狸來，且狡猾的騙Chanticleer開口唱歌，他好趁機把他抓走。一路上狐狸的敵人也在追它們。Chanticleer則使用同樣的詭計騙狐狸開口嚇跑敵人。狐狸一開口，Chanticleer當然就成功掙脫囉！
巴斯婦人的故事：
一個武士他強姦了一個平民女孩，因此遭到判決。皇后此時介入，並跟他說若是他能夠找到女人最想要的東西是什麼，就可以免於一死。武士找了又找就是找不到答案。但有天他遇見了願意告訴他答案的老太婆。武士返回皇后面前並告訴她，女人最想要的就是夫妻之間能夠有最高的權威。皇后聽了很高興，並且免他一死。不過老太婆卻要求武士要娶她。後來武士很不開心，因為老太婆實在太醜了。老太婆就問他：你要醜但忠心，還是漂亮但不忠？武士無可奈何地說：你自己選吧！於是老太婆竟化身成又漂亮又忠心的女子。 

The city walls is one of the most distinct features of Canterbury.  Even now, it still amazes me how the wall survives till today. 
我想城牆也是坎特伯里最大的特色了。現在回想還是覺得很神奇。這是怎麼維持至今的呢？

This is the quiet and peaceful Canterbury, that I will always remember. This is the serenity of Canterbury that made me fall deeply in love with it. The temporary silence and tranquility for which every traveller acquires a taste. 
這就我印象中寧靜的坎特伯里。就是這種安寧使我深深的愛上這個地方。這種片刻的寂靜正是每個旅者到最後都會是為頂級的享受。

Take the seemingly less trodden paths, and see what secret garden awaits revealing.

Canterbury had always been one of the must-visit places on my list.  My curiosity of the place rose from Chaucer's 'Canterbury Tales'.  It was not until I arrived, did I realise that it is also home to Christopher Marlowe.  When I found out that my dear friend lived in Canterbury, I knew that there was absolutely no reason why I should not visit the place.  In this article, you will see glimpses of this adorable little city.  This is a place in which the old merged with the new.  More importantly, though, it is a place where the old outlives the new, unlike many other cities.
坎特伯里一直是我想來的地方。起因當然是因為Chaucer著作的'Canterbury Tales'。不過直到我來到這裡才發現原來他也是Christopher Marlowe（『浮士德』作家）的家鄉。又在我得知我多年好友居住於此，讓我更沒有理由不來拜訪一下。這篇所分享的圖片僅是一些零零碎碎捕捉到的鏡頭。與大家分享一下這可愛的小城市。有趣的是，他跟許多城市一樣，你可以看見古老文化以及新文化的交融。但不同於其他城市的是，這個地方似乎是古老文化的生命力比較強。

The best thing that happened to me during my trip to Canterbury, was being able to spend a couple of days with one of my best friends in high school.  Before reuniting in the UK, we had not seen each other for 14 solid years. 
在坎特伯里的旅程最難忘的事情就是能夠跟我高中的摯友相處上個兩三天。其實在我到英國之前，我們失聯了十四年之久呢！
