This was a pub recommended by a friend of mine. When knowing I was heading to Leeds, it was the first thing that she recommended, knowing how I love pubs. When I got to Leeds, I realised that this was very close to where my host's place was. Of course I was not going to miss out on this. 
這是一間我朋友推薦必去的pub。當我與友人說我會去利茲，這可是他第一個想到要推薦的地方呢！當我抵達後發現，這恰恰好就在我下榻處不遠。了解我，就知道我更不可能錯過啦！
Simply put - it's a boat on land, transformed into a pub. 
簡單來說，就是一個船隻造型的pub。
Looks like any other pub, but unique in its theme. 
看起來跟一般pub沒啥兩樣。但特色就在於他船隻的主題。
 
There is an open space on the first floor of the pub. Great for an outdoor pint on a good day. 
天氣好的話，可以到二樓的戶外區座座～

Cath Kidston had probably been popular long before I took notice of it. We walked by the shop during our walk home. And as I was in need of a bag to stuff some of my things, I knew I had to buy one. If I had to buy a bag anyway, I'd rather it be a good quality bag, instead of wasting my money on some crappy bag.
Cath Kidston應該是在我注意到他之前就有名了。我們是回家的路上碰巧看見、就近去逛了一下。當時我本來就想要買個袋子來裝我滿到爆出來的行李。既然要買、不如就買好一點的囉！
This was what my friend had bought. 這是友人購買的款式。
You can 'feel' the sturdiness of the bag. 感覺非常耐用～
The small one is mine, and the larger one is my friend's. 小的是我的。大的是友人的。
Simple design. 簡單的設計。
 
I chose this design, becuase there were five different places, four of which I have been to. I picture myself telling people who would see me with the bag which places I had actually been to.
選這款式、是因為設計上有五個不同的地方。而這五個地方裡、有四個是我真的去過的～當時我想像之後有人問我這包包、我就可以指給人家看、哪幾個是我有去過的～

After returning from York, my friend and I met up at the station, and we decided to eat out. It was the only meal we ate out. The rest of the meals, well, you probably remember (or not) were cooked by me. She took me to this Italian restaurant, recommended to her by a mutual friend of ours. Since it was 'recommended', I expected nothing to go wrong.
我從約克回來後、與友人相約於車站。我們說好了這一餐要外食。因為其他餐（不知道大家還有沒有印象）都是我煮的。這間義大利餐廳是我們的共同朋友推薦給他的。既然是朋友推薦的、應該除了好吃、還是好吃吧！？
It was a simple, but delicious meal.
這餐、簡單卻美味。
Although I forgot what we had ordered, I remember the pleasant dining experience.
雖然我忘了點了甚麼口味的pizza、但我記得當時的用餐經驗是很不錯的。
Parmasan cheese, wine, and mushroom.
帕瑪桑起司、白酒、蘑菇。非常美味！
My memory fails me, but you can tell that it's some sort of seafood dish. Not a single dish we ordered that night (though there were only three) were disappointing.
雖然不記得了、不過可以看得出來是某種海鮮料理。當晚所點的（雖然只有三樣）每一樣都非常好吃！
 
Highly recommend Da Mario if you drop by Leeds.
剛好有到Leeds的話、可以選擇來這間用餐喔！

Royal Armouries is the National Museum of Arms and Armour. Apparently it is the oldest museum in the UK, and one of the oldest museums in the world. But you probably can't tell that by the modern atmosphere of its current status. The museum had not been an intential destination. It was by the wharf, I took an interest, so everyone indulged me by giving it a tour. 
皇家武器博物館是展示武器以及裝甲的博物館。進去看到裡面的現代感裝潢，你可能會猜不出這裡據說是英國最老的博物館，也是全球最老的博物館之一。這裡不是我們預定要來的地方。剛好在某個碼頭旁邊，因為極有興趣，就強制大家陪我一起逛一下～

There are many festivals all year round in the UK. I didn't know about this Waterfront Festival until I got to Leeds. I happily agreed to join my friend and her company. It was quite different from the festivals I've been to before. 
英國一年四季都有很多不同的祭。這個碼頭祭是我到了之後朋友告知我才知道。當然，很開心的就跟著朋友一群人去看看這個碼頭祭。這個跟以往看到的祭有點不太一樣。
These festivals are all similar, but different in their own unique way. First of all, there are all kinds of stalls selling various products. 
每個祭都有些共同點，但卻又有自己的獨特風格。第一點相同處，就是都會有很多攤賣許多不同種類的產品。

The owner of the boathouse so generously allowed everyone who walked pass and were interested to walk in and take a look at their lovely home. Yes, he and his wife live on this boat. If I remember correctly, he claims that it is even cheaper than living in an actual house. The boat is built in the most enviromental frienly way as possible. It was truly an eye-opener to actually see with my own eyes how people live on boathouses. 
船屋主人很大方地邀請所有路過有興趣參觀的人進入他們的船屋參觀。他與妻子就在這船屋上生活著。如果我沒記錯的話，船屋主人號稱住在船上比住在實際的房子還要便宜。這艘船的設計也顧及到了環保的功能。能夠親眼目睹這種生活方式，也算是大開眼界了！

The UK is an interesting country. There are so many places where rivers run right through the city centre. Durham is a town with a lot of bridges for exactly this reason. Leeds is yet another. 
英國真是個有趣的地方。因為有很多河流就穿過市中心，許多地方都充滿了許多座橋。之前介紹過的德倫是一個例子，現在要介紹的利茲也是～

After having spent a few days with P, dining with his family, enjoying his homemade cuisine, I felt the urge to cook myself. So when I got to Leeds, I offered to make my friend some simple meals. Starting with dinner, the next morning's breakfast, and dinner and another dinner for the following evening. 
在Ｐ家待了幾天，與他家人共餐享用Ｐ親自下廚烹調的手藝之後，自己的手也開始癢起來。到了利茲之後，我就像我朋友提議說我來煮飯給他吃。也為答謝他的收留。當天晚餐，隔天早餐以及晚餐，加起來剛好三餐！
Simple meal for two plus one. 二加一人的簡單料理
Cheaper than eating out. 比外食便宜！

I love cooking. It calms the mind. Unfortunately, all I have at my flat now is a rice cooker. I hope I can find a place with a kitchen some time soon. 
其實我很喜歡做菜。可以讓心靈平靜下來。可惜現在住所只有一個電鍋。希望近期內能夠找到一間有廚房的住所啊！
