是的!經過了好幾次的撲空,吃到了莫凡彼,也吃到了Ikea... 只差還沒吃到Hooters... (還有幾次根本都懶得紀錄了)這次終於被我們吃到了!
讓我來解說一下為什麼會撲空這麼多次吧!第一次剛好店裡在裝修。在公車上查資料的時候不知道是哪個豬頭輸入的錯誤訊息說這間公休日是禮拜二。等到他裝修完工後,我們周末一有空就會去。歷經好幾次撲空之後,我覺得事情越來越不對勁!因此決定還是查一下網友們寫的食記應該會有比較精準的消息!後來果然發現,這間店公休日根本就不是禮拜二,而是例假日都公休啊!(難怪我們每次都撲空啊!!!)
不過這次我們可是有備而來的!為了確保食記的正確性,我還特地查了食記刊登的日期!(是最近的沒錯!)因此就抱著給他最後一次機會的希望,來到這裡!心裡想:要是今天在撲空,那老娘我以後就都不來了啦!的心態... 到了慶城街,轉角灣過去... 有!開!
實在太感動了!
After a number of visits in vain, we finally made it!
So let me explain why it had taken us this long to finally make it to the shop (while it's open!). The place was under refurbishment during our first visit. So we went to Movenpick instead. We checked on Google that time, and somehow the data showed that they were closed on Tuesdays. So afterwards, we would come during the weekends... and it was closed EVERY SINGLE TIME!! So I started to realise that there might have been a glitch somewhere. Finally, I started checking recent food blogs posted by random users. Eventually, I found out that there was, indeed, a glitch! The place is closed on all holidays and weekends (not Tuesdays!). No wonder all our previous visits were in vain!
This time, we came prepared. I made sure the blog post I saw was a recent, up-to-date article, before we made our next move. Then, when we arrived, and was about to turn around the corner.... THANK GOODNESS it was open!!
I cannot tell you how glad I was to finally see the place open and thriving with people!!
等我們抵達已經有人在開始排隊了。不過因為店裡賣的種類不多,所以效率很快。不用等太久。
The queue had already started forming upon our arrival, but since the shop does not offer much variety, you know that they are capable of being very efficient.
點餐完畢之後,領取餐點處有兩種醬料可以選用。蔥花是他們手工製作的,很值得一試(不過我怕蔥所以就跳過)
After you make your order, you are to go to this window by the side and wait for your meal. Meanwhile, you can help yourself to the sauces. The spring onions are chopped by hand, and is a signature sauce of the place - worth trying. I skipped it only because I've never been a fan of spring onions.
以上是2號餐 - 配菜比較多。

這是1號餐加上半隻雞腿(加點的)
No. 1 meal, with an additional half-portion leg.
海南雞飯如果好吃的話,其實根本不用沾醬。但因為沒吃過,所以還是挖了一點到小碟子裡。沒有直接淋上去是因為1. 天仙不愛蔥(不能夠再更強調!)2. 我更愛原味(除非他本身沒味道,那就表示很失敗啦)
The deal with this chicken rice, is that if it's done right, there is absolutely no need for these sauces. But since it was our first visit, we were willing to give things a try. I didn't pour the sauce over the chicken for two reasons. 1. I don't like spring onions (can't emphasize enough!) 2. I love the original taste even more!
當老公把這一盤盤的雞肉端過來(我先去找座位),我感動到快哭了啊!(孕婦的哭點是很低的)
吃了一口之後,跟老公直呼:這跟我以前在清邁從小吃到大的海南雞飯味道一樣耶!(去年去清邁的文還沒生出來請耐心等候)

After trying a bite! I told the hubby: this tastes just like the chicken place in Chiang Mai!! (speakign of which, the article has yet to be published, please wait patiently)
一口雞肉一口飯,吃下肚後覺得這一切的等待都值得了呀!
連飯都好好吃!根本不用沾醬啊!

店裡還有湯可以無限量免費取用。
真的不枉費我們撲空這麼多次。期待越來越高,以為會很失望。沒想到他真的沒讓我們失望。
老公說他已經忘記我們在清邁吃的那間的味道,不過因為天仙可是吃了十年,永遠都記得那間的風味。能夠在台北找到一間可以替代的,實在是太好了!
The soup is free of charge (all you can drink).
I had expected the place to be a major let down, after attempting to come so many times. It was good to know that it lived up to its fame!
The hubby said that he had forgotten what the Chiang Mai chicken tasted like, but I would never forget. After all, I had eaten there so many times during the 10 years I was there! It was a flavor difficult to forget. It's comforting to know that this place can serve as an alternative.

Remember to clean up after yourselves once you're done. It's one way the shop ensures that all its employees are efficiently working on our scrumptious chicken meals!

天仙念:雖然沒有懷孕前這麼愛吃雞肉,不過初期的食慾不振症狀消失後,可是什麼都吃得下的。1號餐要我吃兩盤我應該也沒問題啊!
