雖然不是第一次在中與志用餐,但這應該是頭一回寫食記。我吃過他的迴轉壽司,也吃過他的定食。感覺上迴轉壽司比較優,但定食確實是比較划算。
This is not my first visit to Nakayoshi. I've tried their conveyor belt sushi bar before, and I've also had their teishoku (set meal). I reckon the sushi bar has better quality, but the teishoku has more value (more filling). 
海鮮丼定食。 Seafood teishoku. An assortment of sashimi... 
海鮮梅定食。 Seafood teishoku. 
海鮮梅定食中的天婦羅。 Tempura from the teishoku. 
烤鯖魚。 Grilled mackerel.
豆腐。 Tofu.
漬物。 Other dishes.
基本上這樣的擺盤應該是要很滿意才對。 Seemingly satisfactory... 
 
但吃了一口發現飯只是普通的白飯,並非醋飯。這點讓我非常的失望。
加上梅定食中的烤鯖魚也沒有附檸檬。
以上這兩點讓我認為,以後要吃中與志,只能吃迴轉壽司了!
After a bite, I realised the rice was just normal rice, instead of the vinegar sushi rice. This was a major disappointment! 
Also, there was no lemon to go with the mackerel! 
With these two points, I gather... my next visit to Nakayoshi will be to the sushi bar!

網路上看過一張照片,是說找到陪你一起做很瘋狂的事的人,無價!
有的時候我覺得我身邊的人也蠻瘋狂的,但是自己好像也沒好到哪裡去。話說這次來到廟口夜市其實是為了雪恥。曾經有一次,到了月底,兩人口袋都空空,卻又很想來基隆廟口夜市。怎麼辦?只好限定只帶$300在身上!天啊!那天真的超痛苦的!看到海鮮,不能點!因為一盤點下去,別的就不用吃了!結果這次回來,雖然口袋是有盤纏,但還是為了預防自己花太多錢,因此將金額提高到$500。
I've heard that having a friend who'd do crazy things with you is priceless. 
Sometimes I think my friends are a bit crazy, but then I'm pretty crazy, too! We came to Keelung Night Market this time, to satisfy our regret during our first trip here. That was during the end of the month, and neither of us had much money in our pockets. We still insisted on coming here (crazy). To prevent us from spending too much, we set a budget of $300! That was painful! There were so many yummy seafoods I wanted to taste, but we didn't have enough money with us! Well, we could order a plate of crab or shrimps, but then that's probably about all we could eat! So this time round, we decided to extend our budget to $500! 
首先看到這些一串一串的,就已經想吃吃看了!最後決定來串雞肉塞個牙縫。
First, we saw these barbeque stuff. We were getting hungry, so we ordered a skewer to fill up our hungry tummies. 
繞了一圈之後,決定回到之前看到的海鮮攤。抱著期待又怕收傷害的心情點了餐。
After having walked around, we came back to this stall. We were both excited and nervous about this!
眼見翻桌率都還算不錯,應該算新鮮,也算美味吧!?
There were lots of people at the tables, and people waiting as well. So we thought, it's probably pretty fresh, right? 
第一盤點了烤鮮蚵。沒什麼調味,很新鮮也還算美味。好吧!這筆錢沒浪費!
So we ordered a plate of grilled oysters. Didn't need any seasoning! Good on its own! 
再來點了烤蝦。不算大隻,但也還在可接受的範圍內。檸檬等播完蝦在擠上去會比較有味,不然味道都在蝦殼上~
Then, we ordered a plate of grilled shrimps. The lemon made the shrimp even more delicious! Of course, you have to remove the shell first, or else you won't be able to taste the lemon at all. 
這兩盤吃得還算滿意,只是還是覺得肚子還沒八分飽。
These two plates were pretty satisfying. But still, we were not quite there yet! 
後來決定吃個能添飽肚子的炒飯。有點油,不過至少肚子飽了~
A plate of fried rice would do the trick, I guess. It was a bit greasy! But at least, it was filling enough! 
是說天啊!吃完沒幾樣我們就只剩這些銅板了!
And this was what was left of our budget! 
 
最後就來杯珍奶,讓八分飽的肚子添滿到九分飽。畫下這次的基隆廟口夜市之旅的句點吧!
So as a finally... a cup of pearl milk tea to mark the end of this meal!

到了清邁的第一天晚上,就把行程安排給高中時的兩位好友。想一想還真的超級久沒見面了!我想這就是當第三文化小孩的後遺症吧!身邊比較少會有陪你一起長大的好朋友。因為大家畢業後都會跑到世界各地去發展。這兩位好友原本都在曼谷打拼,後來也因為種種因素搬回了清邁。
約好時間以後,接著就在飯店等著人家來接。所以不負責任之一,就是我沒辦法用很專業的方式告訴你這裡要怎麼來。不過如果告訴tuk tuk,(應該)到的了吧!?
I had arranged to meet up with two of my best friends from high school upon my first night in Chiang Mai. I guess it's one of the many things that third-culture kids have to deal with - that you rarely have friends from childhood by your side when you're all grown up! They scatter all over the world once you leave school. Fortunately, these two friends came back to Chiang Mai after having spent a considerable amount of time in Bangkok. 
We waited at the hotel for my friend to pick us up. One of the catches for a meal like this, is that I can't tell you the exact direction of how to get there! But the place is rather popular. I'm sure you could get a tuk tuk driver to bring you here! (show them the name of the restaurant)
這裡其實天仙並不是第一次來。小時候就跟著爸媽來過。清邁基本上跟台中的天氣很類似。不常下雨,因此這種露天餐廳非常的多,也非常的受歡迎。只是夏天的時候要記得帶防蚊液,因為我們還沒吃飽,蚊子就都餵飽了!
This was not my first visit to the restaurant. I'd been here with my parents when I was younger. The weather in Chiang Mai resembles the weather in Taichung - sunny and clear most of the time. So these type of open-air restaurants are ubiquitous. Although, I must remind you to prepare some repellent if you come during the summer. Or else, the mosquitos would be full before you are! 
這種餐廳晚上氣氛最佳了!中午來雖然食物依然還是很好吃,但怎麼說就是少了那麼點味道。
The atmosphere is better at night at these restaurants. Surely the food tastes just as good during daylight, but the atmosphere here during the night, is incomparable. 
由於天仙真的很久沒回來清邁了,因此點餐這種事,我就交給專業的來。但回來寫食記的時候,我才發現我根本就不記得這些菜名!(不負責任之二)因為朋友說,既然來到這裡,就一定要讓我們嘗嘗道地的泰北菜。因此,絕非你在台灣泰式餐廳找的到的菜色。然後缺點就是,我也不知道怎麼告訴你這些菜名!XD
Since it had been quite a while since I was last in Chiang Mai. I decided to let my friends figure out what to have. But only until I was trying to write this article, did I realise that... I don't know the names of most of these dishes!! Most of these were Northern Thai dishes, not the popular kind of Thai dishes that you'd know. The experience was, indeed, special. But the second catch to that, is I can't tell you the names of the dishes. Oops.
反正是碎肉來著。這應該是雞肉,因為好友之一剛好是穆斯林,不吃豬肉。
I think this was a chicken dish, as one of my friends was Muslim, and did not eat pork.
這是香腸類拼盤。其中我最愛的就是左下角那個生肉香腸(念作"naam"泰文:แหนม)。味道有點酸酸的。是發酵過的生肉。有些會將綠色辣椒包在裡面。請小心食用!因為真的爆辣的(不是開玩笑!)
While I insisted on having some Thai fermented sausage - naam. It's a bit sour, and sometimes you'll find pieces of small green chilli inside it. Please be careful with that! They are extremely spicy!!
這好像是牛肉。因為我還是沒辦法吃牛肉,所以就把他跳過。
I think this was a beef dish. I still couldn't come around to eating beef, so I skipped this dish.
這碗有點像咖哩的東西也不錯。
This was some kind of curry dish. 
再來就是烤魚。泰式的烤魚一定要找機會嘗嘗看!
Thai styled grilled fish are a must try! 
再來就是這個大家可能覺得比較有趣的東西。看起來像是釣魚的時候裝餌的。其實裡面是泰國糯米。這裡先跟大家解說一下泰國糯米的吃法。
首先,先把手洗乾淨。再來,用手擠出一坨糯米。先用指尖把它捏個幾下在入口,口感會變得很Q!
千萬別在那邊城市鄉巴佬的堅持用湯匙、叉子吃糯米。這樣的糯米根本就不好吃。再加上油膩膩的肉放在手上,捏個一兩下的糯米,他會幫你解手上的油膩喔!
And inside this little thing, is sticky rice! And please, here's how you're suppose to eat with sticky rice. Ditch the fork and the spoon (and chopsticks)! There is a reason why you must use your hands! Make sure your hands are clean, then squeeze a bit of sticky rice in your hands, squash the piece a few times, then eat it! If you're eating grilled chicken, for example, this way of eating sticky rice also helps get rid of the grease on your fingers! 
這裡很棒的是還有現場表演(其實很多餐廳都會有喔!)

  • 【食記】鹿港 - 老龍獅 vs 阿振之肉包子大PK

沒吃過這兩間包子,沒說你來過鹿港。據說,在地人吃的都是老龍師,而阿振都是外地人在買的。其實在地人吃什麼,外地人要不要跟著在地人腳步走,我覺得沒那麼重要。重要的是,你得看你自己喜歡哪一間的口味啊。這兩間都在龍山寺附近。來到鹿港除了逛逛老街,去龍山寺逛逛、拜拜之外,也別忘了買個包子來嚐嚐。
There are two types of meat buns you simply must try when you come to Lukang. Don't tell people you've been to Lukang until you've tried them! Some say that 老龍師(Old Dragon Master, Laolongshi) suit the taste of the locals more, and 阿振 (Azheng) meat buns are for visitors. Well, I think what's more important is what you, yourself, prefer! These are quite close to Longshan Temple, and the Old Street. So they're not hard to locate! 

老龍師其實在這附近就有兩間分店。所以老實說,光看一間的人潮不太準。
Laolongshi has another branch right around the corner, so it's difficult to judge its popularity from the crowd of just one of the branches.
上一次來看到老龍師人潮比較多(需要排隊),而阿振倒是沒什麼人。這次來卻剛好相反。
Last time, Laolongshi had more people queueing up. This time, it was the other way around.
雖然不常吃豬肉,不過為了要了解這兩間包子的差異,我吃了一個。味道還不錯!我還蠻喜歡的。
Not that I eat pork, but for the sake of making a valid comparison, I tried one! I quite liked it!
接著就是人潮比較多的阿振。
Then, there's the more crowded Azheng!
包子比老龍師貴了兩塊。
Each of the items are NT$2 more. 
  
有拍到這間的蔥花捲。我們家老爸是說看似阿振的蔥花捲比較大。
My dad said these are bigger at Azheng.
不過實際嘗了一口,我覺得我還是比較喜歡老龍師。(有符合當鹿港媳婦的意思嗎?)XD
But after having a taste, I decided I'm more of a Laolongshi person! 
後來逛完老街返回發現兩間的人潮已經不相上下了!
After taking a stroll along the old street, we came back here to find both places crowded with people!

  • 【食譜】把剩下的手扒雞部位搖身一變成為上海菜飯

天仙在家裡是出了名的雞肉控。不過天仙有個壞毛病,就是最愛雞腿跟雞翅。所以每次家裡只要出現全雞這種東西,只要看到雞腿沒了、雞翅也沒了,我就完全不想碰它了。這次家裡提早掃墓。當然也準備了全雞。因為祖先的墓在台北,家人一大清早就從台中北上。拜完之後不想再帶回台中,所以就請住在台北的我拿回家處理。當然,這次也是... 等我把它截肢,吃完雞翅跟雞腿之後,剩下的完全不知道該拿它怎麼辦!後來靈機一動!想到一個簡單的方式,既可以處理掉這堆雞肉,又可以輕鬆解決一兩餐!
簡單來說就是把他做成類似像上海菜飯的東西!
以下是你會所需要的材料:
1. 剩下的雞肉
2. 青江菜
3. 白飯
4. 少許鹽
青江菜洗淨後要把它切碎。
再來,就是雞肉先把它全部撕下來,再剁成小塊!皮不用刻意處理,因為我們還需要他的油脂。
在備料時其實就可以先把飯煮好。等等涼一點比較好處理。
首先,把剁碎的雞肉倒進鍋子裡翻炒。
這種雞肉其實油並不多,所以我有把當初附上的雞油到一點點進去攪拌。
翻炒均勻後就把青江菜倒入。繼續攪拌均勻。
最後,要看雞肉本身的調味來決定要不要加調味料。我們這次的雞肉味道不重,但因為初次嘗試不敢放太多鹽。起鍋後吃了一兩口發現還是太淡。後來我們自己發明了一種吃法:淋上魚露!還蠻美味的哩!XD
以上料理,是用鍋寶多功能料理鍋烹調。由於是一人份的鍋子,所以翻炒比較困難。再加上我的小套房其實沒有廚房,燈光什麼的條件都比較差。才會導致照片色澤上的一些小問題。

  • 【食記】彰化 - 尋鹿咖啡

不知道已經看了幾篇大家分享的食記。心想說:再怎麼說本姑娘也是未來的彰化媳婦兒,怎麼可以不跟進!於是這次到了彰化,就吵著一定要來這間。即使未來的婆婆早就買好燒餅跟豆漿,嗑完之後還是硬要來。
I've seen a few blog entries on this cafe, and had wanted to come and try it myself. Whenever we come to Changhua, we never had time to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee or a light meal. This time, even though my future-mother-in-law, without knowing I had other plans, had already bought us breakfast, I still insisted that we come! 
把大概的位置跟老公說,沒多久就找到了。反正只要知道家樂福在哪,其實並不難找。
I told my husband-to-be where abouts the cafe was, and he found it without trouble. All you have to know is that's right by Carrefour.
從店門口一直到menu,每個細節都有小鹿鹿的蹤跡。實在是可愛極了!
The shop was filled with signs of the little deer. Very cute!
店裡用的咖啡是illy咖啡豆。
illy coffee beans are used here. I was sure the quality would be fine.
桌椅的擺設也挺特別的。鄰近的座位都會隔開,減少與陌生人大眼瞪小眼的尷尬。
The painting sits right between two seatings. I think this decreases the awkwardness unintentional stares at stranges at the other table.
第一杯飲料來了之後,我愣住了:怎麼沒有馴鹿!
老公才跟我說這杯是他的!
Okay, so one of our drinks arrived! But when I saw the drink, I was like 'Where did the deer go???"
Then the hubby said the drink was his, not mine. Phew.
接著我可愛的馴鹿咖啡就來了!
Then, voila! Here comes my deer-coffee!

因為不想破壞可愛的圖樣,因此剛開始沒攪拌,喝到的是偏酸的咖啡(也因為是冰的更酸)。
後來才忍痛攪拌開來,才喝到正常版的咖啡 XD
Oh, the deer was so cute, I did not have the heart to ruin it. What I did was I started drinking from the bottom with a straw, without stirring of course. The coffee tasted a bit sour (of course becuase it was cold!)
After half a cup of sour coffee, I decided what-the-heck! and started mixing the drink. Then it tasted much better, ha!
接著是我們刻意點的分量不大的小點心。兩個其實都吃過早餐的,這盤下去午餐其實也不用煩惱了。
As we both had a bit of breakfast (actually quite a considerable amount of breakfast), I wanted to try their food as well. So we had this little snack.
冰淇淋是香草口味的。
Vanilla flavoured ice cream.
布朗尼餅乾屬於偏硬,但不脆。我們的吃法是會搭配一口冰淇淋。
With brownie cookie. It wasn't crispy, but it wasn't soggy either. 
配上一口捨不得半開的偏酸咖啡,其實也剛好中和了平時不會太愛吃甜的味蕾。
Before I mixed the drink, the sour coffee sort of neutralizes the sweetness of the dessert. 
對面桌的可愛小女孩似乎也很enjoy~
The child at the other table seems to be enjoying her meal as well. 
美麗的擺盤最後被我們吃成這樣~
The beautiful plate of dessert finally became this mess.
 
其實原本的計畫是要來這裡吃早餐的。但未來的婆婆也是好心買了早餐。為了把胃騰些位子出來,燒餅油條我只吃了一半。但還是吃不下整套的早餐啦。下次還要來!
We originally planned to come have breakfast here. But life doesn't always go according to plan. I had only half the breakfast my future mother-in-law bought us, so I still had room for some food when we arrived. Next time, I'm going to come and have a full meal here!

One of the most dramatic differences between the oriental and western cultures, is customs and traditions of a wedding. There are so many details to the customs that one has to follow, that each and every bride will turn into a 'bridezilla' at least once during the process. The most difficult part of planning for this big day, is communicating with the parents. His parents, and your own parents. Especially if everyone wants something different. That means someone surely has to make a compromise. The bride is not the boss. She is never the boss during this process. That is, unless both his parents and your parents have absolutely no opinion on any of the details of the wedding and the reception. I will talk more about the traditions later, if I get a chance. But first, this post is about one of the details that the bride's family is in charge of - the wedding pastry (Some call it cake, but it's not  a cake in the western sense, more in the sense of 'moon cake'. In fact, the Chinese character for it is actually the same word used for cookies.)  This is something that the bride's family hand out to her friends and relatives (mostly the bride's parents' friends and relatives) to let them know that you're getting married. Today, this tradition has evolved into an entire box of cookies AND the traditional pastry. It is suggested that the bride's mother should choose the style of the pastry, and the groom's side should pay the bill. Nowadays, any of these traditions, as long as they happen, it doesn't really matter who pays the bill. Since there has been a long tradition of wedding pastry, I've decided to write this article to share with other brides-to-be, to help them get a head start. Thus the entire article following this, will be in Chinese only.
重要的日子即將到來。即使想要一切從簡,還是有很多細節一定得注意,不得省略。自己進入了備戰狀態後才了解為什麼人們要稱這個傳統為「人生大事」。而一直到我自己開始籌備我都很不以為意:我人生大事是完成我的英國留學夢!哪還有什麼人生大事。現在才明白,所謂的人生大事,真的是一件大事。兩個家庭要因為你們成為一家人,這麼巨大的改變,人生還有什麼比這個還要大的事?但是結婚到底要從那兒著手呢?其實天仙本來也不用這麼早挑餅,不過因為一些因素,不得不很早就先把餅看好。這也可以說是我自己這件人生大事裡第一件完成的事情。
就從我個人經驗,以及我聽到長輩以及前輩們給我的建議,我在此也不藏私地分享給各位依些建議。首先,我想準新娘一定都很期待可以挑自己喜歡的喜餅。開開心心的把挑好的喜餅跟長輩分享後,萬一結果跟你想像的不同,那就不好了。所以,請先調整好自己的心情。這個餅,是女方爸媽發出去給親朋好友,告知他們自己的掌上明珠要出嫁了。這是餅的主要功用。所以請先讓你的母親選擇。若母親真的沒意見(或是真的不想選),那恭喜你!你就可以挑你自己喜歡的餅了!萬一你與母親的意見完全不同,而你們又同樣都很堅持(誰叫妳們是母女),那麼唯一的方法,就是母女兩代送不一樣的餅。這樣一來,母親會開心她能送她想要送的,你也是。只是,萬一你們分開來的盒數不足,可能就無法享有特定的優惠了。這點,就看你要怎麼取捨囉。
以下根據我們個人一一造訪各家喜餅廠商的經驗分享給大家。一向重服務的天仙希望在你們看下去之前,先了解一件事。每一個廠商設計的喜餅外觀一直到裏頭的餅乾及大餅的口味,雖然是大家挑選喜餅的首要條件,不過,接洽你的那位銷售員,也是很重要的影響關鍵。這餅訂金一下,你就得跟這個銷售員一直的接洽。萬一你喜歡的餅卻不喜歡那個銷售員,建議你可以換間分店試試看。
1.安全牌 - 郭元益
首先登場的是超級大品牌:郭元益。老實說天仙原本跟很多準新娘一樣,覺得這個大家常常送,想挑一個比較不一樣的送。不過來看看後,加上跟別家比較過之後發現,他們能夠獲得這麼多新人及新人長輩的青睞不是沒有道理的。接待我們的剛好是該分店的副店長,因此說話非常有條理。態度也很親切。很有耐心的聽著我們的計畫。而且個性比較保守的長輩們,也會因為這品牌很多人選擇,而把它設為首選。
價格上,其實一般般。不過即使單價不高的禮盒,設計的也很大方。因為天仙自己也收到很多郭元益的喜餅,所以覺得若是選郭元益,還有另外一個好處:它們的盒子設計得很堅固,所以很適合拿來當作收納盒。別家的可就不一定會這麼牢固了。
至於高單價的,大家也可以看看郭元益代理的日本喜餅拉法頌。天仙媽剛好最近剛收到一盒。不過這對新人的家世背景都是小康家庭,因此才能負擔的起單價較高的拉法頌。拉法頌的盒子又更精緻了。適合拿來當珠寶盒~
至於餅的本身嘛... 因為主打的京饌玉露有豬肉,因此我只挑了一小口比較沒有肉的角落吃。其實天仙本身不太想送大餅,只是長輩們覺得嫁女兒就是要送餅,所以才得要來吃吃看。味道是很不錯。餅乾類的其實就很一般般。不難吃,但也就是那樣。沒什麼好多說的... XD

2.名字取的不好 - 白木屋
第二個要來講的是白木屋。起初我以為這間不太有人會選的,說不定還比較特別。不過我錯了。沒人挑不是沒有原因的。盒子的外觀設計是有別於其他間。有點日系的風味。只是當我們看到了有一款竟然以白色作為設計主色,我就覺得它們真的很「白木」。選白色作為禮盒的主色,沒有長輩會喜歡的吧!
再來就是,他們畢竟主打是蛋糕。因此對於喜餅真的是很不專業。一般其他廠商的SOP,無論我們有沒有表現出很想要選它們的決心,就是會準備試吃品。白木屋要等我們要了才勉強地拿出來。這方面真的不是他們的強項。
價格上面也沒有比較便宜。不過如果東西好吃那也就算了。只是東西實在也不是挺好吃的。(真的認真做蛋糕就好了,好嗎?)

3.超級大方 - 禮坊
再來這間也是大家都聽過的禮紡。這是我們去一間一間試吃遇到最大方的一間廠商。我跟他們說,最後決定還是要交給長輩,二話不說就多準備了一盒是吃的給我們。(不過後來還是被我吃掉)
他們也是很專業的喜餅廠商。這試吃的感覺就是事前就已經包好的,所以才會有已經破碎的東西吧!他的東西不難吃,跟郭元益比起來我實在吃不出差別。
不過比郭元益大方的是,連餅都給我們試吃餐種口味的。那個什麼相思的還不錯。只是這間重包裝設計(你們平常看電視應該都有看過廣告吧!)所以單價其實會比郭元益高一點。如果沒有預算上的壓力,也是可以考慮的。

4.好漂亮好漂亮的盒子 - 御倉屋
當初上網看找到御倉屋時,我整個人好開心。包裝實在有夠好看!而且東西也跟其他間很不一樣。只是我們進了店裡,大概站了數分鐘,店員才肯理我們。介紹也沒有很熱情,都是等我問了什麼,他們才達什麼。當晚有兩個店員,其中一個在電話中,所以不理我們情有可原(?)不過另外一個店員擺明了不太想理我們。後來決定,先吃吃看他們的東西再決定吧!如果真的要,那去找另外一間分店也行。
不過就跟我朋友事先告知我的一樣... 這並不是一個大眾口味。意思就是,應該只有少數人會喜歡吃。其實我當初的考量是,這間的東西感覺比較養身。給爸媽朋友送去,吃了身體比較沒負擔。只是這一整盒,只有那個得像鱈魚香絲的東西還可以,其他,真的不是我的菜。如果自己不喜歡,那又怎麼送的出手呢。
但是他的包裝確實是很美呀!
因為有了吸睛的設計,單價自然不會太低。我只能說,這樣的口味真的很少人會喜歡。如果你剛好是那少數人,恭喜你啦!(我真的很喜歡他們的包裝設計)
至於大餅,其實也是一般般而已。

  • 【食記】麻豆 - 阿蘭碗粿

過年期間去了一趟高雄。自己開車去,又是當天來回,因此在高雄也只是去探望一下外婆就快閃返回台中了。回程有人提議說要一路吃回台中,反正大概會塞車,不如就苦中作樂。於是我們決定第一站來到台南麻豆的阿蘭碗粿。老爸老媽說這間好吃。我也沒吃過。基本上因為裡面有我不吃的豬肉,加上前一天才因為腸胃不好送醫院,因此我不打算吃太多。只是聽到大家要一路吃回台中開始興奮了!因為今年過年假期太短,根本沒拍到什麼東西。我想說一路吃回台中,又可以收集好多食記的照片夠我寫好一陣子了!
The family took a short day trip to Kaohsiung during the Lunar New Year holidays. All we did in Kaohsiung was pay our dear Granny a short visit, then left. On our way back, someone suggested that since traffic jam was almost inevitable, we might as well enjoy ourselves by devouring the delicacies along the way back to Taichung. Our first stop was Tainan for their famous 'rice bowl cake'. My parents highly recommended it, but I'd never had it. Seeing that I don't usually eat pork, and that the previous night I was just sent to the hospital for bad tummy, I didn't plan to each much anyway. I got excited about this plan, only because I thought I got a chance to take loads of pictures for articles on the blog. 
交流道一下來沒多久就抵達阿蘭碗粿。他們有專屬停車場。基本上翻桌率算快,所以原則上應該都會有車位啦。
It was not far off from the freeway. They have their own parking lot. People move fast and eat fast. So basically, you won't have to worry too much about waiting too long for a parking space - that is, if you have to wait at all.
光是賣個碗粿,瞧瞧他們就好幾個人在忙了。這天我們也是要排隊。不過因為賣的花樣不多,因此其實等地也不會太久。一部分人先去找位子,再派一個人排隊。
They don't have much variety on their menu, but look at all the people working their a*se off... We had to queue up, too, but not for too long. If you're with company, get someone to find yourselves a table while someone else can wait in the line.
過沒多久漂亮的碗粿就上桌了。
Then, voila! The famous 'rice bowl cake' of Tainan!
還有魚羹。
This is fish thick soup. 
話說這碗粿還真漂亮呢。
What a beauty this rice bowl cake is!
因為腸胃還在復原中,因此我只點了魚丸湯。而且我以為一路還要吃下去,想說這一站就魚丸湯就夠了吧!
And all I could have was a nice bowl of fish-ball soup. At this point, I thought it was the wisest thing to do, seeing that there was still more food to go on the way. 
後來有偷吃一口碗粿,還真不錯。
I got a bite, without the pork, from my mum, and yeap! It sure was good. 
醬包都包好放在桌上。
Not quite environmental friendly, but this is indeed a very convenient and sanitary way of dispersing the sauce.
每桌也都有附上剪刀。
Of course, with that kind of packaging, scissors are a must.
此時我心想:這些人吃完這樣的一餐,真的還有可能繼續吃回台中嗎????
Then, seeing all these bowls, I started to wonder... were they really capable of eating more after this meal!?!?
畢竟碗粿也算是容易飽食的餐點耶。
I mean, afterall, these bowl cakes were pertty filling!
 
吃飽上車後,果然不出我所料...
各吃了兩份碗粿加一份湯的他們,決定不吃了!直接開回台中!
啊啊啊啊啊啊!!!害我好失望啦!!!!
After the meal, we got back on the car, and not unexpectedly!!!
After each having had two rice bowl cakes and a bowl of soup.... They decided to call it a day!!!
What a disappointment!

遇到冷氣團來襲的周末,唯一能夠覺得還不賴的就是可以躲在被窩裡睡晚晚。要不是這天剛好有事要外出,可能就會一整天窩在被窩裡吧!既然要出門,而過年期間也因為假期短,所以根本沒花到什麼錢。我們才有機會奢侈地外出享用一下早午餐。Cafe Cafe天仙並不是第一次光顧(舊食記附在文末)。所以信心滿滿的帶著蔡同學來到這裡。一走進店裡就發現不太對耶!怎麼跟我印象中的Cafe Cafe不太一樣?
The best thing to do in the morning of a cold weekend, is to stay in bed until... whenever! However, we had missions to accomplish this day, so we had to leave our comfy duvet and get out of the house. Since we had a very short Lunar New Year holiday, that meant we still had plenty left in our monthly budget. We decided to treat ourselves to a scrumptious brunch. This was not my first visit to Cafe Cafe (go to the links at the bottom of the article to see the old posts). I was quite confident that my companion would enjoy this meal! But when I saw the place, I was a bit shocked! It looked nothing like the Cafe Cafe I remembered!
除了裝潢完全走不同風格之外,連menu也換了。這下天仙開始擔心了。是換老闆了嗎?如果只是換裝璜那也還好,怕就怕連餐點都不如預期啊!
Everything changed! Even the menu! I wonder if the owner also changed? I hoped the meal would be just as good. I suppose that's all I could wish for.
店裡的水仍然放入檸檬片增加風味。算是少數沒改的地方。
The water was still served the same way, thank goodness some thing didn't change!
我們都點了套餐,要求飲料先上。不過這紅茶竟然沒有附上一個可以放茶包的小容器。這點讓我有點小失望。
We ordered our set meals, and asked for our beverages. Disappointing that they didn't provide any sort of container to put the tea bag. 
最後茶包是放在已經喝完的空水杯裡。
In the end, I left it in the empty water glass.
原則上不愛加糖的我們,看到店家提供的是方糖,還是好奇的各加了一顆。
Normally, we're not big fans of sweets. But sugar cubes are now quite rare! So we each had one to our drinks.
再來,就是餐點的部分了!
And now, the meal... 
蔡同學點的是燻鮭魚煎蛋。有點破了,不過剛好可以看到裡面塞著滿滿的燻鮭魚。
The smoked salmon omelette was completely suffed with smoked salmon. Despite the torn corner, it was overall, quite good. 
另外還有沙拉以及馬鈴薯(有香煎及薯餅可選擇,因為有兩份所以兩個都點了)
Salad and potato came with the meal, also. There were fried potatoes and hash brown to choose from, so we ordered one each.
這是我的班尼迪克蛋(大蘑菇)。薯餅還不錯。不是一般早餐店那種... 沙拉的醬汁(優格嗎?)也很不錯。
Mine was portabello mushroom eggs benedict. The hashbrown was good. The sauce for the salad was also quite nice.
不過這個班尼迪克蛋卻讓我非常的失望。荷蘭醬一點味道都沒有。(不是淡!是一點味道都沒有!!)
這裡原本是讓我愛上班尼迪克蛋的地方!為什麼味道不一樣了!!(已哭)
The eggs benedict were a bit disappointing though! The hollandaise sauce was there for decoration? I could not taste anything in it! 
This was the place that made me fall in love with eggs benedict, and now it's become a disappointment! 
結果反而是燻鮭魚比較好吃,不過洋蔥非常的多。如果要點的話,要小心影響嘴巴裡的味道喔!
The smoke salmon was much better. But do be careful with your breath, for it's also filled with lots of onion!
這次不知道是第幾次來了。原本期待滿滿,卻令我有點小失望。其實等餐點的時間也拉得有點久,服務員也絲毫不覺得有什麼關係的樣子,令我有點囧。
I'm not sure how many times I've been here before. My expectations were high, but it let me down. The time it took for the meals to arrive was also a bit long... The waitress didn't seem to think that as a problem... Oh well... 
所以,即使其他餐點可能還不錯,但... 要我再回來的機會,應該不大了。
So I suppose even though there might be other meals worth trying... The chance of me coming back? Very slim!!

繼聖誕節那天嚐過了三本味的招牌起司鮭魚握壽司之後(看舊文),每一天都在想著要再找一天來補上用650D拍他重新篇食記。恰好與朋友相約時,她也看到了那篇食記,就讓我逮到機會回來補拍。不過這天還是有點小遺憾。原因就是因為我實在太小看他了。原以為就只有兩個人,位子應該比較好喬。不料人多的哩!我們能有位子就不錯了!只是食用時間只有短短的一個小時不到。不過我們也接受了。因為我們並不打算吃很多。重點是要來嘗嘗招牌握壽司,其他都不重要了!
After my first visit to this Japanese place, and tried their cheese and salmon nigiri sushi, I craved for my next visit! I wanted to come back and re-take the photos, since I only had my phone with me last time. My friend and I were discussing where to eat, and she happened to see the last article I wrote about this place. We decided to come here, so I got my chance to retake these photos. However, I underestimated the place, thinking that it was a weekday, and that there were only the two of us, getting a table wouldn't be that difficult! We did manage to get a table, but we had less than an hour to dine. It was okay, though. We accepted the condition, for we really wanted to have the nigiri sushi! 
起司鮭魚握壽司真的是必點!
This is definitely a must-order! 
少數有記得要拍菜單的食記... 但好像也看不到全部啊 (你到底在拍啥?)XD
I finally remembered to take a shot of the menu, but I don't think you can see anything... ha... ooops. 
親子丼 Oyakodon 
 
當然光吃個握壽司是不會飽的!所以還要來點吃的飽的。
Of course, we needed something filling as well. 
看那漂亮的蛋打在上面,半開食用,不用真的常一口就知道一定很棒啊!不過親子丼有太多洋蔥(我不愛洋蔥)所以其實天仙很少會點親子丼。
If you saw that beautiful yolk, you'll know that the taste of it, once all mixed up well in the bowl, would be absolutely amazing. Though this dish contains too much onion... too much for my taste. 
 
這天其實也不算太暖和,所以清酒當然還是要的!
Seeing that the weather was rather chilly, sake would warm us right up!
再來就是天仙的生魚片定食了。
Then comes my sashimi set meal. 
上次已經有吃過生魚片了,知道絕對不會令人失望。
Since I've already tried their sashimi, I knew that the quality woudl be great. 
新鮮的魚片配上好吃的米飯真的是很讚啊!
The rice they use and the way it's cooked goes so well with the fresh fish. 
接下來就是招牌握壽司要登場囉!
Then comes the fire show! 
 
凱爸拿著烤盤上桌表演,也會為客人介紹店裡的食材。
As the chef comes to our table to prepare this dish, he'll also tell you a bit about the ingredients and the principles of their management.
眼睛正在盯著這個握壽司漸漸形成的同時,也可以聽著凱爸解說。
So, as you watch the fire slowly burn the fish and the cheese, you can also learn a bit about the shop and what you're eating. 
光是這道就真的很值得來訪了,真的不騙你。
This is definitely a must-try! 
果真如凱爸口中說的,堅持做到好就是會不一樣囉!
They insist on doing everything right. And right, everything is! 
可惜當天人真的很多,已經坐滿了都還有人進來詢問,所以凱爸講解的速度有點快了。但餐點部分是絕對不會馬虎的,這點不用擔心。
It's a bit of a shame that there were just way too many people, and when it was time for the chef to talk to us, he was really speeding through his speech. But don't you worry about your meal! Everything will be just right! 
 
因此,雖然有點這麼小小的遺憾,但有機會,我還是要再來!!
So despite that, I will definitely come here again, and again!!
